The soft dripping of condensation from a hot water pipe in the distance, the very gentle hum of florescent bulb above him in the maintenance tunnel is heard. Monty quietly walked the length of the tunnel, his head quietly pivoting to look around at the walls, floor, and crannies of the confined space. With a few soft sniffs he began his assignment. His code commands appearing in the top left corner of his view

Unaccounted for rations had gone missing over the duration of an away mission, causing a growing concern for command. Flies, rodents, and rot were always assumed to cause some degree of damage to the rations, however the circumstances of the rations disappearance as well as the manner at which they were removed was what prompted the investigation. During the three day cryo-sleep journey, when coming out of cryo-sleep, a considerable number of rations were taken out of a broken machine. Upon playback of security cameras, a small, unrecognized person was seen smashing the glass of the vendor with a pipe and running off with its contents into the maintenance tunnels. Monty, being a relatively smaller and harmless looking humanoid was dispatched to investigate.
"Hello... Is anyone here?" Monty called into the dimly lit room.Not a sound was heard. Monty attempted again to make contact "...We saw you on the cameras... The crew knows you're here.. We won't hurt you.. Please lad, come out.."
From within a cargo crate, a side slowly creaks open as a small human face pokes out, some small boy, no older than 11
"Y-you promise?" The boy timidly asked.
"I promise" Monty softly contorted his face from its usual blank stare to his best attempt at a gentle smile as he quietly knelt down, about 4-5 feet away from the crate. Monty gingerly tucking his pant leg over the combat knife he had strapped to his ankle in the event of a hostile encounter, trying to not have the boy notice he was armed.
The boy climbed out of the crate, a bit dingy and covered in grime from his stay in the maintenance tunnels.
Monty, whilst reluctant to believe the small boy was dangerous still examined the boy for any visible weapons, and finding none, he stood up and nodded his head to the nearby door behind him. "lets get you to the M.Ps..." The boy hesitated at first as Monty outreached a hand to him, before reluctantly taking it. Monty helped him to his feet and began escorting him towards the M.P.s station.
-skipping ahead to the destination-
Monty approached the desk and alerted the Mp stationed to his mission, as well as the presence of the boy, gesturing with his free hand, and letting go of the boys hand, turning to him.
"This nice policeman will look after you until we figure out where you came from and where we can drop you off at." Monty told the boy directly and in as calm a tone of voice as he deemed apt.
"A-alright.. thank you mister.." The boy replied, taking the M.P.s hand and being escorted into the station.
//Objective Update: Task completed, return to command and give report.//
With a soft and almost rehearsed sigh Monty strolled to the Bridge, humming some old classical song he had overheard and banked to memory as he headed to his destination, wishing to help keep a relaxed and uplifting atmosphere to anyone he came across with the tune. On the way to the bridge he checked his internal clock he realized the commander must have been up for at least 6 hours out of cryo, so he'd probably need his third or fourth cup of coffee by now. Swinging back around and heading directly to the cafeteria he acquired him a coffee, protein bar, and a pack of cigarettes. Upon returning to the bridge Monty quietly set the provision on the table near the commander and reported in.
"Commander Carson.." Monty awaited his response. CMDR Carson quietly sipped the last bit of coffee, setting the empty cup aside. Monty perked up, going to grab the provisions and hold them out to him.
"Yes Monty, what is it?" Carson didn't look away from his monitor, sipping his new coffee in the same manor as his last.
"The stowaway has been located, apprehended, and delivered to the M.P. station as ordered." Monty replied.
Carson softly nodded and carried on reading "Good, good.. Now return to Medical and see what they need you to do, I don't really have anything for you right now.."
"Yes Commander, right away commander" Monty saluted proudly then strode out the room for the medbay.

-Static plays for a moment before the video comes to focus and the audio syncs up and plays-
The various sounds of gunshots are heard as Monty looks around a well lit hallway, bullets ricochet from the walls as scared civilians run past him and behind into a docking port to the ship. Running past those civilians are the marines of the Almayer and towards the bullets, and Monty with him. They all run down the hall until they reach a makeshift barricade where other marines of the ship have set up a makeshift defense. Engineers scramble to solder metal together as well as to the floor to reinforce their position. Monty pulls off to help haul munitions and provide first aid to the wounded, his hands work at a phenomenal pace applying bandages, administering medication, and splinting limbs.
//Warning!: Injured Marines detected, casualty count estimate :13.//
//>Run Trauma-aid routine S-354.//]
"Alright lad.. hold still, I've got ya.." Monty remarks, bandaging the head of an unlucky delta marine as he hums the British grenadiers anthem as he works. The marine concussed and in great pain can only grunt and groan in reply. Monty once having him stabilized loads him onto a stretcher and has a medic roll him back to the exit, having the next casualty sit in-front of him, and he returns to his work.
Further down the line explosions and cursing is heard.
" There's too many!" exclaims a private
Monty looks over after injecting a patient to see a squad leader take a bullet through the neck and fall over bleeding out.
//Warning!: NCO severe trauma detected, Grade-3 Hemorrhaging detected.//
//Warning!: Potential Communications Failure due to loss of squad leader.//
//>Run Critical Aid Routine B-2.//
Monty dives to the squad leader, immediately grabbing for his quick clot and applying it to his throat, followed by his advanced trauma kit. He begins to stitch the wound closed as his spare hand grabs his headset and hands it to a nearby private of the same squad.
"Get this to the next in command, keep Cohesion!"
"Aye..." The private awkwardly stares at the headset before handing it down the line tot he smart gunner whom replaces his earpiece with it.
When he finally has the last stick connected and the thread cut, an explosion is heard
-the transmission is cut for a few seconds, then resumes at a later time when the footage begins recording again-
It is a view of the floor, a small puddle of white synthetic blood has formed in front of Monty's eyes, he attempts to push himself up, but finds his left arm unresponsive, Monty sits back, with the sound of straining servos and runs a diagnostic.

Monty reaches into his med-pack, grabbing a welding torch, and begins working on both stopping the leaks and doing what repairs he can to stabilize himself. After sufficiently stabilizing himself, Monty eases himself to his feet, looking around to see a few dead and dying marines around him, appendages and organs littering the place. Further behind him he sees the last of the civilians evacuating as a few detachments of marines come and bag up the corpses by Monty, with the occasional bullet flying past them from the entrance hole by their designated marksmen. Monty begins to jog back to the entrance when the clang of what sounds like a metal can lands behind him, rolling between his legs and a few feet in-front of him. Breaking open as a thick greenish yellow smoke bellows out and fills the air. the few marines carrying bodies around him cough hard and drop to the ground, gas canisters.
//Warning: Hazardous Material Detected.//
//>Run Protocol 5843-l.//
Now going from jogging to full running Monty barrels for the nearest emergency oxygen closet and gathers every mask and tank he can sling over his one arm, rushing back and begins applying them to whomever he can see, at least trying to save a few more lives. After what feels like an eternity running in and out into the gas, he finally begins dragging the men back to the entrance one by one with his only working arm. Soon after the first few men are recovered other kitted marines begin helping and they fully recover the bodies before disengaging. At the end of the mission Monty had saved at least 8 men from the gas, and 6 men from the fighting, including the injured squad leader, whom after extensive surgeries can eat solid food again. Monty was later fully repaired to standard working order, though personally keeps a scar or two along his arm from the incident.

"Good day sir, names Monty, glad to be here. Where do you need me?"
How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk)?
► Show Spoiler
Monty will be plaid very similar to what could be considered very prim and proper officer , using both his vast accumulated knowledge at his disposal and experiences learned of the strengths and weaknesses of his crew to always try and give support on and off the field. Monty will typically behave in honest, kind, and sympathetic actions when dealing with the crew.
Monty when interacting with the marines or staff whom don't know he is a synthetic will be distant, but cordial. A kind word, a bit of advice, a dry joke, or an offer for a drink to try and raise their spirits but not much beyond that outside their work.
The quirk as best I can put it for Monty is what at times could be considered a martyr complex. He knows he is a machine, unable to truly feel, think, or do, outside of the confines of his programming. He has thought on this so long and it troubles him so to never be able to act in the same manor as humans do that he envies them,so much to the point where he adapted the best traits he has viewed of humans to be, and mimicking them to try and masquerade as best he can human. Even in the charade he knows that a single human of his crew will feel and experience more than he can comprehend in his existence, and inside deeply desires to preserve all the human life he can, even at the cost of himself.
Monty's most proficient work will be in and around triage and surgery. Assisting doctors in their procedures or even setting up a forward field hospital to keep the men from withdrawing or taking too heavy of casualties appeals to him greatly. And whilst he may be able to do technician work, and a decent degree of M.P. functions, his most experienced role in the Almayer has been under the wing of the CMD.
How familiar are you with support roles? (i.e.; Medical, MT, Science, SO)
I in my months of playing have become quite familiar with a good number of the supporting roles, often preferring them over the direct combat of the marines.
Medical: My favored profession among the branches. Initially learning the game to be a surgeon, the medical tree is the first I gained knowledge of and the one I have the most experience in
MT: honestly one of my least played roles, engineering doesn't specifically entice me compared to science or medicine, but if need be i can do basic work in here as best to my ability.
Science: My Second favorite position tied with Leadership, science has brought me long hours of joy, tinkering with various odds and ends and being quite drawn to making homemade explosives.
SO: Tied with Science for my second favorite role, I quite enjoy leadership and have a decent amount of experience running as an S.O. under a number of commanders including Bill Carson for a brief time, and outside of the more recent additions of content (c.a.s and such) i find i can be quite capable as a supporting officer to both the squad leaders, requisitions, and my commanding officers.
MP: In all honesty my least favored position even more so than engineering, not saying i haven't studied marine law though. While there are decent occasional RP scenarios involving the Mp's I've found them to be a hassle. Perhaps as a synth i might find a new and enjoyable angle to perform under.
Why should we whitelist you?
There are a few good reasons why I feel i should be white listed for this role.
1.Fun: I have in my many months (almost a year now i believe) of playing this game I have done a good number of jobs and tasks, and I find that the synthetic character would be a very interesting and enjoyable experience to revisit some of the prior ground i have covered as a basic human, not only whilst performing the job but interacting with the crew as a different type of character.
2.Efficiency: I have found whilst playing for the marines and aliens that often times many marines get caught in many a toxic cloud bath and left to die with no hope of survival. Being a Synth and immune to the poisons and other effects of environment (barring direct damages of course) I can see an extremely useful role as a retriever of injured marines and possibly one of the most efficient first response units in the game. Not to say over powered, but to perhaps give a few more rookie marines a chance to keep playing before they have to hope to join a response team, join the aliens, or wait for the end of the round to play again.
3.Enriching the role play: As I've mentioned in the first reason, the synthetic character would be interesting not only to play as, but to interact with people would also help incite more frequent and better opportunities to interact with characters than a word in passing whilst waiting to perform a task, and as such do a myriad of good for not only new players, but possibly even older players alike. Not just for complex views on mechanical life, but small talk to help bring out and introduce characters whom would typically be pushed into the background for not aesthetically standing out or being known for being chatty or loud.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
No bans that i am aware of.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
I have no bans in any servers to my knowledge.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline?
I fully understand and accept my privileges being revoked when applicable.
