WY 153A Series: 'Saturn' the human perfection. (2nd attempt)

Post by Heckenshutze » 18 Sep 2017, 18:57

Byond ID: Heckenshutze.

Marine Name (so we know who you are; if you play alien mostly, state that here): Ruben Dario

Name/Designation of the Synth Character you’re requesting to use (Follows common naming rules, and requires a first name with no last name): Saturn

Are you familiar with the Synthetic Programming and Guidelines (viewtopic.php?f=57&t=14417)?: Yes!

Synthetic Character Story (An ADEQUATE description and story of your Synthetics actions and involvement in a previous mission onboard the Almayer):
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LIH ... sp=sharing

How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk)?: Quiet, simple yet mysterious. I want to give other players the vibe that "This weird fella over here never speaks yet doesn't seem surprised about all the shit we're in, this motherf*** must know something". My answers would be cold, sarcastic and sometimes, pretty jerkish or rude yet honest and sincere but don't get him wrong: His loyalty is with the USCM and with any human being that request assistance, he'll sacrifice himself for anyone in dispair, from any threat human or not yet doesn't support violence; he would never use his strenght or any means to kill a living being having as only exception the salvation of another human being.

How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO): My least experienced role would be science, since I never tried it because of how research is in constant development, other than that, I'm experienced in all roles.

Why should we whitelist you?: I'm an experienced player, both in Colonial Marines and SS13 and I have a good relationship with the community and it's players; I think I've proved myself that I can RP on a more elevated level than most of our playerbase and I have a good knownledge about the LORE and how synthetics behave in the franchise and how they need to behave in our game.

Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?: No.

Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?: No.

Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline?: Yes.

Synthetic: Saturn / Shepherd (old model)

Saturn seems like a strange name since most names for synths in the lore are american or british. Is there a reason why WY would give their new line a roman name and the name of a planet?

Saturn: The titan of Capitol, wealth and agriculture among other things. Weyland Yutani decided to make a new synthetic series designed for specefic tasks among different areas, depending on the name of the synthethic. Since Roman/Greek gods used to be described as beatiful, superior human beings they found appropiate to name the series behind it.

In the case of Saturn, he excells in hard-work tasks like engineering, maintenance or cargo duties. His sole purpose in his life spawn is to give the humans 'the bounty of earth' (Methaporically speaking) without labour. In this case aboard the USS Almayer he takes care of the hard work that needs to be done so humans can focus on other things without thinking about it.

You could say they grabbed a David8 and a Working Joe and made a hybrid out of it. Advanced like any David8 but with a purpose and behaviour of a Working Joe.

Alright, you said that your Synth will behave like a Working Joe, how will that go with your quirk? How would you express your quirk and behave like a Working Joe at the same time? Working Joes are quite "Synthetic".

PFC John Smith says, "Hey, Saturn."

Saturn, while handling some heavy machinery winks at him with a smile.

PFC John Smith says, "So, how you doing?

Saturn, without turning his head does a thumbs up.

PFC John Smith says, "So... cargo duty eh? Quite a bitch."

Saturn says without turning his head, "Don't you have like... an operation to do?" Then slowly turning his view to the marine examining him up and down,"... Private?"

PFC John Smith says, "Oh.. yeah sorry to bother you"

Saturn says without changing his posture, "You're not bothering me but we both got our orders and I'd like to accomplish them"

PFC turns and walks slowly, "Jackass."

Saturn says while fastening some rods, "Yeah.. love you too friend."

A little example about my quirk and my obsession with work

If you can accomplish that in game I would actually like to see you as a Synth, though I'll wait for some other reviews until I vote and take a second look at your story.

I like to imagine this with the Working Joes' voice. +1 from me. I trust Heck with this role.

That document... real good job! And operation quirks are pretty interesting, while feeling quite unique

By the way, forgot to say, if for any reason, Saturn isn't a valid name, I will change it, if get approved, to 'Sheperd'.

It took while to find another name that felt fitting for the synth
