August awoke from standby, booting up his systems and quickly scanning the bustling medbay in front of him. He checked the time, it was 12:30. He figured something bad must have happened if there were this many injured this early in the operation. They had been sent to do a rescue mission for some marines captured in a CLF base. August saw several stretchers around the room, and quickly scanned them all. The first one looked like she had a few broken bones, the second one definitely had some broken bones, possible internal, the third was merely bruised and burned. He grabbed the first patient, smiling at them as he pulled the stretcher intro triage. "Do not worry, everything will be fixed shortly. I am sure you will be fine, only minor injuries were detected." He began unbuckling them from the stretcher, removing their gun from their hands and placing it aside. He quickly transferred them into the scanner, moving to get the report. It was as he suspected, chest fracture and both legs broken. He ejected the patient, carrying them over to the autodoc closing it. He then went to the panel, changing to manual mode and setting it for bone repair surgery. He started the surgery queue, waiting until he heard the clicks and pops. "You will be fixed in no time, as soon as the autodoc releases you, you may exit through the triage door to your left." He then quickly rushed back to the lobby, seeing someone had fixed the bruised and burned patient, and grabbed the last patient in there. "Hello, I will be doing your surgery today." He smiled, scanning them quickly. They had some brain damage, a fractured skull, and internal bleeding in the chest. He quickly moved them into surgery theater 1, placing the patient carefully on to the table. "I will hook you up to this table, and then you will begin to feel sleepy. Do not worry, you will wake up soon and feel better than ever." He could cleary see now why the bones were broken, as there were several patched up bullet entry and exit wounds, in the same places as the bone breaks. He then hooked up the patient on the surgery tables internals, enabling them before grabbing the surgery tray from the table. He then turned to the table, grabbing the Alkysine that was sitting there. It was lucky the chemist had stocked the surgery rooms with it. He injected a single dose into the patient. He then placed it back on the table and grasped the incision management system in his hand firmly, starting an incision on the patients head. As soon as the incision was open, he grabbed the bone gel, salving the broken bones gently. Placing the tools back onto the tray, he grabbed the bone setter, carefully placing every piece of the skull back in its place. Putting the pieces in was like a puzzle, which was quite easy due to his advanced processing system. As soon as it was done, he pulled the skin and muscle back together, cauterizing it all back in place. He smiled, moving on to the chest. He opened it up once again with the IMS, grabbing the bone saw and cracking open the ribs. He then used the retractors to bend it out of the way, and he scanned for the IB. He spotted it, a vessel leading to the patients heart was burst. He grabbed the Fix-o-Vein, sealing up the vein and smiling. He then used the bone gel, salving the rib cage and used the bone setters to set the bones back in place before pulling the skin and muscles back together, sealing it all up with the cauterizer. He then disabled the internals, washing his hands while he waited for the human to wake. He heard a groan behind him, and turned, smiling. "Your surgery went well, how do you feel?" The marine sat up, looking at the synth. "I'm fine, probably would have been a lot faster if I had a real doctor working on me rather than a bucket of bolts." August didn't waver, and instead walked over to the door, opening it. "I assure you, I performed my best and at the same skill level as the CMO even." The marine grunted, shoving past the synthetic. "Whatever, cocky scrap heap."
It was later that day that the tank came up in one of the dropships, and August could see that it was badly damaged. He was surprised they were even able to get it back to the Almayer. One of the TC were dragged off of the Alamo before he could even say anything, the other however, climbed out of the tank and beckoned him over. He walked over slowly, smiling at the TC. "Hey, bolts, repair this would ya?" He nodded, still smiling. "Of course. I will fix it better than new!" He quickly ran over to Requisitions, ordering a few new parts, treads, consussive armor, LTB ammo, the such. He made sure to note that they send the crates down to him in the tank hangar bay. He then moved down there, glad to see the tank was on the elevator already. He quickly grabbed a crowbar, removing the broken and burnt components from the tank. He then grabbed a blowtorch and a wrench and set to work, repairing each of the hardpoint slots. He soon saw that his crate had arrived, and he opened it quickly, before grabbing them and dragging them back to requistions, one by one. He was soon finished, and headed back down to the tank bay. He reinserted the flamer and LTB unit, seeing as they were not destroyed. He then grabbed the treads and began installing them on the tank, going as quickly as he could. As soon as he was done, he grabbed the concussive armor and installed it into the armor slot. He then looked over, and saw that they had a spare smoke launcher, and quickly slotted it into the support slot. He then grabbed the ammo, reloading the LTB and Flamer weapon units, smiling as he finished. He activated command comms. "TC, I have finished repairs and fully reloaded everything. I will now go into standby to make some logs on the state of the tank." Shortly after, he entered standby mode and began to make a damage log of the tank. It wasn't long before he was disturbed again, this time by the CO on command comms. "August, get up here to CiC." "Yes sir, I will be right up." He walked over to the command ladders, climbing up, and it wasn't long before he was at the CiC. The CO looked up as he walked in, and he began to walk towards August. "Did you install a smoke launcher in to the tank?" August nodded, still smiling. The CO cursed, and then said something over engineering comms. "Well, thanks to you, the fucking TC is dead. You changed his support module, and because of that, when he needed the artillery module, he had a fucking smoke launcher." August's face remained unchanged. "Atleast he had cover with the smoke. And we saved money on the smoke launcher, it was already in the hangar bay." The CO cursed again, stepping forward and getting in the synthetics face. "Do you not fucking understand? You got an Ensign killed!" August winced a bit. "Well, I am sure a new TC will wake up soon, and continue killing CLF with the tank. The CO's face turned red, and he rushed August, smacking him down on the ground. August fell backwards, into the glass window, thumping against it. His systems were slightly damaged, but he was not to retaliate. He stood back up, still smiling as his white 'blood' dripped from a cut on the back of his head. There were a few wires sticking out, and the CO was turned around, his back facing August. "Just get the fuck out of here!" August nodded, and walked towards the door. Before he left, he turned back around. "Atleast he died fighting, and he will be remembered valiantly!" The CO turned, throwing a clipboard at the synthetic, and August quickly ducked out, heading to engineering. As he arrived, he called over the engineering comms for a maintenance technician to come repair him. Not long after, an MT arrived in the lobby, his tools in hand. He grunted, acknowledging August and quickly began to repair him. August couldn't help but overhear someone talking in the next room, and he focused his hearing to hear the conversation, although he could only hear bits and pieces. "Hey ** **** two more *** *** mut*ny, *** you in?" "* **** ****, * gue*s *o." He hadn't heard it all, but he was pretty sure what they were talking about. He looked up, and realized the MT was gone. His systems diagnostics told him he was all fixed, and he quickly logged the conversation in his memory. He waited a bit, making sure to let the CO have some time to cool off. He then headed back up to CiC, opening the door and slowly approaching the CO. The CO sighed, looking up at the synthetic. "The fuck do you want now?" August smiled, looking towards the CO. "I have good news and bad news. The good news, I am fully repaired. Bad news, I heard an interesting conversation earlier." The CO stood there, sighing once more. "Well, are you going to tell me or keep us in suspense?" August nodded, playing the conversation from his memory. As soon as it was over, he could tell the CO was surprised. He turned to the CMP, whispering something into their ear. He turned back towards August, looking less frustrated. "Thanks for letting me know. Maybe you aren't as bad as I thought, Mr. Roboto. The CMP is already on the case, we should have the perps soon. You may return to your duty's." August nodded, smiling still. "Of course, and on the bright side, now the military police will have something to do instead of just sitting around!" He chuckled a bit, before walking out and heading down to the hangar to begin cleaning.
How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk)? When playing my synthetic, I will focus on surgery and engineering repair. My character was programmed to interact with humans in a positive way, encouraging and repairing. They are made to emulate a positive outlook, no matter the odds. They are always positive, and look for the bright side of things and fix the bad.
How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO) I tend to play ONLY support roles, such as Doctor, CE, PO, SO, XO, and TC. I am familiar with surgery, and am able to perform it without looking at the wiki. I am also very familiar with engineering and construction, and only need to look at the wiki for a select few things. I do know my way around the wiki very well though, and if I don't know how to do something, I will find a spot on the wiki that tells me how.
Why should we whitelist you? I think I could add a unique character and roleplay experience by playing as a synthetic, and I would love to play as a synthetic as well. I want to interact more with people as a synthetic since I see that is something that is not common, synthetics making an effort to interact with people. I also think that my Synthetic could make for some pretty funny situations, as made an example of in the bio short story.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)? Not the last month, but I was banned in one of my first few rounds for EORG.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why? Not that I am aware of.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline? Of course.
