Health Analyzers give the time of when a wound was recieved

Post by Crab_Spider » 12 Dec 2016, 22:20

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Health analyzers show the approximate time of when a Marine has recieved their wounds, similar to how it shows the precise time dead body became a dead body.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): This will allow for medics and doctors to get a grip of how serious their patient's wounds will be before infection has set in. MPs can clear the debate of who shot who first It'll clear that Headscratcher on Tv Tropes of how dead bodies get the precise timing of their death but not wounds because it both instances will have equal footing.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): As the crew monitoring console records the damage a crew member has received, it'll put a note of when the damage has been taken and therefore give the medics more precise triage while treating patients. Investigations of physical assaults will be much more efficient and prevent arrests of innocent players.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Minor coding
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

I like the idea. Right now it doesn't matter when a wound occurs, but there could eventually be a timer of when bad wounds get worse. Like how Crab_Spider stated infections that could take place overtime. I'm at a +1 for now because of what could possibly come from the idea.

It's either for MPs or medical crew, that's basically it.

No, I mean, I cannot see ANY reason that the medical team or MPs would need to know what time a wound was inflicted.

Infected wounds or just for finding out who threw the first punch when an assault was reported

It could be useful for MPs for sure, but what happens when the wound heals? I assume it would remove the time of wound then which would be an issue in investigating for the MP. It might be neat in the future if CM got more RP-heavy modes but I'm going to go with a -1 assuming the coding would be challenging. If the coding is trivial then a +1.

It can't be that hard, plus would improve the MP roleplay. +1 From me
On May 17, 2016, a group of farmers dug up the diary of an ear of corn named Watson. Here are his entries.

Day 76:
They took Lawrence, dear god Lawrence... They ripped him off the stalk and smeared him in butter, just like Tyler and Jodie. They shipped him off to the popcorn factory...
I wonder what his wife will say.

Day 120: My brother says the VEGANS are protesting for more anti-meat bullshit. They want more of us to die. FUCKING HEATHENS.

Day 153: The ants are eating me from the inside out. They are popping out my kernels and taking them back to the nest. I feel them moving inside me. Julia says the pesticides will end our misery.

Day 300: Sweet Release. I can hear the planes flying over now. They are dropping the gas, it feels so good, sweet release-
