Huggers die with alien

Summary: At the moment when a marine runs up and buckshot gibs for example a boiler, if the boiler is carrying two huggers when it dies those huggers with instantly down the marine through a helmet (since there are two). Huggers should die along with the alien they are being carried by as at close range this makes unavoidable hugger attacks for marines and immersion wise it is difficult to think how the huggers survived the hail of gunfire that killed its carrier.

Benefits: Would be a start at fixing hugger combat as it is kind of wonky right now, it would also remove an unavoidable way to die for which kills or stuns the marine regardless of skill.

Details: Make it so that huggers are killed along with the alien carrying them, this would prevent shotgun wielding marines from being instant hugged through helmets from no fault of their own.

The problem is not the hugger, it is the behavior of dropped huggers and the marine not being careful.
-1, but I see where you're coming from.

Just an head's up though: I promote the idea of huggers falling off the dead xeno, not the leaping as they die.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

I don't see how the marine is being "uncareful" in this situation. If you have a buckshot loaded shotgun you have no choice but to get as close as possible, it is kind of the point. And you cannot tell if the alien has huggers or not to my knowledge. In my eyes it is just an unavoidable hard counter to shotgunners.

To explain it better:

I'm talking about the bazillion marines just walking when huggers are on the ground or around them.
I'm talking about the marines just charging point blank at a T3 to try and hit it with buckshot when they have allies.
Etchetera.

But my main topic on that last post, was the fact that I don't approve of huggers leaping on their owner's death, but that I approve of them DROPPING when said owner dies. If a xeno tries to sacrifice with huggers at least give it the honor of hindering the marines even a little.

+1 OR make the huggers below a corpse easier to shoot. If a T3 or a lower tier (in the right place) dies on top of their huggers there is basically no way to shoot them unless you get lucky and find the tiny spot that actually shoots at the thing, in which case you now have to shoot the one below it with an additional sprite blocking it.

Why not just make the huggers appear on top of the corpse?

The main point I'm trying to make is when a shotgunner gets close and gibs an alien with his buckshot, if he is close enough (which you should be if you're using buckshot) what happens is the two huggers will immediately jump before you can react and instantly rip off helmet and down you. Making huggers appear on top on the alien would only benefit marines who are farther away but if you kill an alien up close it doesn't matter if they are above or below the corpse as they will insta hug you regardless.
