Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Remove the brute damage in tail stabs with low amounts of toxin damage in T1s, Hivelords, Hunters, and Praetorians.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
-Tail stabs get their own niche
-Dyvolene now has a true purpose
-Runners and drones at the least, have a viable method of defending themselves
-Engineers will find a reason to hack Medivends
-Lore friendly
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Per title. Remove the brute damage in tailstabs for all T1 castes and Praetorians. The toxin damage has a slow gradual build up, but at 30, victims suffer temporary blindness. I'm not well versed in chems or metabolism rate, but it'd be about 5 minutes until that occurs. Infected victims can be saved from this fate via recovery pheromones, and the damage stops rising at 30.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Coding I guess

Replace the brute damage in tail stabs with toxin damage
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

It's stated that the tail of a xenomorph is poisonous.Halinder wrote:Wait, how is it lore friendly?

Re: Replace the brute damage in tail stabs with toxin damage
Okay, so i was thinking about this for a couple days, but didnt decide to post it scince snypes getting his dinky on (hehe)
but, what if instead of just toxin damage, the tailstab delivered nerotoxin. Having a tailstab would cause the victim to be paralyzed after a short amount of time, like 10-20 seconds after being stabbed, they would be stunned.
It would be a great way to change out hugger combat with something less oppressive, but still effective.
The story would go as such:
-Runner runs through, sees a marine and his buddies.
-Decides that, yah i cant take these guys, but if i go in sneaky beaky like, i have a shot.
-Runner preps his tail, pounces in, and stabs the marine in the leg.
-Marine gets up, but after a 6 seconds, he starts to feel sick. He vomits on himself and slowly his muscles seize up.
-The runner now sees a chance, pounces at the other marine. The runner has to wait for nerotox to refill which will take about 30 seconds, so the tailstabs out.
-The marine stunned by the nerotox looks on as his friend fights for both their lives.
So this would be pretty fair yah know, Nerotox would take 5-10 seconds to kick in, stuns the prey for about 20-30ish seconds, and the nerotoxin stab can be used once every 40ish seconds, costing a decent amount of plasma.
Aliens get a way to capture hosts without too much trouble if they can just keep them still for 6ish seconds, marines get a way to fight back, tailstabs are cool again, huggers can be used more like the lore. everyone wins! Somthing something Arrpee on the side as well.

Gaze upon me,
for I have wandered deep into the ancient tombs of knowledge to which lie madness and sorrow, cleansing a path for all those who walk behind me...
...
But seriously, does uh, anyone know the way out?!
~Furthermore, I consider that Floodlights should no longer be destroyed.~

Re: Replace the brute damage in tail stabs with toxin damage
I like the concept, but stacking damage feels a bit oppressive and a stun for hunting castes feels like giving xenos another viable tool that, in conjunction with huggers and the fact that xenos have a decent tackle chance, kinda isn't okay. I'm not in favor right now.
I play Aria Vivici. I think people like me. I'm not sure why.
