Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Nicknames are cool, but they can be kind of immersion breaking when you encounter a survivor and their name is something like "Stanley 'Crusher' Foreman." I suggest having nicknames applied only to ground marines and sulaco employees (Minus command staff).

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): There would be less space taken up in the text log and it would be make the server more realistic.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): This change would make ID's more realistic as well as eliminate the confusion of who should be addressed formally and who should be addressed casually.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): I assume you could add something to the character creation like "Exec/survivor name" and "Marine/staff name."

Pretty much exactly what Noah said.

I don't use nicknames and I don't think I ever will but with this suggestion giving a QoL improvement to players who do and improving immersion it's a good ol'+1 from me.
