Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Apologies if this is already a suggestion. This has been talked about a fair amount recently and honestly would be a really neat thing to have on cm.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Immersion, it would look pretty neat.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): When a bandage is applied to a body part a bandaged sprite will appear over the clothes of the marine. Think of Gorman:
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Coding, spriting.
I'm also well aware this will probably be a backburner project.
Downsides:This seems to me at least like a pretty tall order to fill if it's even possible in the confines of ss13.

+1 for immersion and easily seeing at a glance the wounded/treated state of marines.

Re: Bandages appearing over clothes.
yes please, even though this will require a lot of work t'do.
Like a lot I reckon, if you'd have to add a bandaged path to each armor and uniform, then code it to change when bandaged.

I really like the idea of furthering the system currently in place of showing player damage. Right now the only real evidence of being in combat on the character is maybe a bloody face or bloody clothing, or being "Unknown" if you got your face blown off. Having bandages appear or splints on limbs showing the progressively more battered marines is something that would be fantastic.

Re: Bandages appearing over clothes.
I think we can solve this by having "bandages sprites" for each body area, and then have it be drawn on the top most layer, so even if you wear clothes or not, the bandages show on the body part. But, i am not a spriter and the worst type of coder (armchair style) so grains of salt to be had.
possibly a white sprite for basic bandages, and a neon colored sprite for tramakit bandages. or just leave it white.

Gaze upon me,
for I have wandered deep into the ancient tombs of knowledge to which lie madness and sorrow, cleansing a path for all those who walk behind me...
...
But seriously, does uh, anyone know the way out?!
~Furthermore, I consider that Floodlights should no longer be destroyed.~

This is wonderful for immersion(soldiers worn by battle) and utility(determining the most important injuries as a doctor or alien). Though it seems lofty, I will still support it.
