Vendable MREs
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Add USCM MRE's to the canteen vendors.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): So far I've only seen MRE's on the canteen tables, and I think that adding a few MRE's to the canteen vendors would help out a lot. Marines usually don't pack food with them, unless they put EAT bars or burritos on their helmets. The canteens don't have hot food vendors, so marines can't really bring food with them unless they're content with shoving a few protein bars into their backpack. If the canteen vendors were able to vend MRE's, marines would be able to have a full meal or more, since MRE's are a tiny item, on the go.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Most marines don't pack food with them, and that's understandable because a lot of marines don't want to shove protein bars or food trays into their backpack, wasting space. Adding around 35 MRE's to the canteen vendors would help the marines a lot, as they would be able to have food on the go and Req wouldn't have to spend their time filling a bag with food trays and sending it down on one or both of the dropships. You also may be able to order MRE's from Req, but each crate has 5 MRE's. 5!. You know what else you can spend those 10 Req points on? Building materials!, for the FoB, which is pretty much the most important thing to have fortified in an operation. I'm not spending 10 Req points on a few MRE's, 50 metal sheets can get you very far in building a FoB, so getting the sheets would help a lot more than 5 MRE's. If you are going to order MRE's, it should probably be lowered to 5 Req points, or add 15 or 20 more MRE's to each MRE crate.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Add MRE's to the marine food vendors.

Phillip Driver, jack of all trades, reliable in some. Your typical jumpy flamer PFC or ammo fumbling CPL, always has a pair of ballistic goggles on him for unknown reasons. Will probably die mid sentence, because he talks (and gets bullied) too much for his own good. He has his moments though.
Jim, a Gen 2 Synthetic. Has a tendency to get melted to bits when planet side, and that's when he's behind barricades. Despite that, he's vigilant and always ready to drag you out of danger, even if it damages him in the process.

+1, although from what I've heard, you can order more MREs; but who wants to waste cargo points on those when you can buy more explosives or hats? Also, my favorite anecdotes about any military are interactions with MREs.

Re: Vendable MREs
If you mean those MRE bags, then yes, I don't know why they aren't in the venders by default.
It should be standard issue for every marine to have an MRE bag containing a full course meal, rather than packing a tray of food into your backpack. It just seems kinda weird, like going to Mcdonalds and stuffing all that greasy food into your purse instead of a bag.
1+ cuz immersion.

Re: Vendable MREs
I'm sure whoever made the MREs would appreciate them being used more often too. +1
Five MREs for the price of a tank's worth of metal sounds extremely silly for requisitions to deal with, if we get this we should also increase the MRE crate to carry 15 MREs or so

Re: Vendable MREs
I love the MRE idea. It'd be extremely useful for those hunger/lack of blood moments. Huge +1
What if RO was able to order a "MRE Crate" which would cost 5-10 points and would be a crate that would then be sent down to the Marines that would have 5-6 boxes of MREs (Basically 7 MREs in 1 box, totalling 35-42 MREs) Marines don't have the luxury or pleasure of eating warm, home cooked meals, ESPECIALLY out on the Field. (Hope this didn't derail K E K)

Re: Vendable MREs
+1 to this but on the topic of MRE's can we get different colored MRE's with different snacks? Only cosmetic, but fun!

Re: Vendable MREs
Think of the RP that can be done from marines trading what bits of the MRE they like and don't like.
