Post by TopHatPenguin » 15 May 2017, 12:41

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Allow for players to add names to the slab of victory for marines who have died during the mission aka, more RP.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): More Rp and Makes the slab of victory have more of an Rp function.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Coding to allow the description to be edited, most likely similar to paper.

+1.

I check the garden out often for RP.
Careless, as usual.

+1, was wondering why no names showed up when I looked at the slab. Just doesn't make sense to have it without names.

Also, wouldn't it be nice if all the dead marines were added automatically to the slab (and allowing you to remove manually any that don't deserve that honor).

We could, if we ever implement dog tags, take their tags and put them on the slap of victory, just auto-magically putting their names there.
George S.Patton once said:No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making some other poor dumb bastard die for his country.

I don't like cute things.

Good hunting.

One day we'll have them, but yeah, I think that'd be nice. Although I'm not sure how that would work out as they'd still be Id's in theory.

What we could do is, since cloning got removed, every time a Marine Dies, their name pops up on the stone.
the alien drone (848) has been robusted with the emergency toolbox by Johnny 'Snowball' Redem!

This could be an annoying check unless you tied it to the defib timer.

Baldie McMarine - Slab
Defibed -> Dies
Baldie McMarine - Slab
Defibed -> Dies
repeat

Why can't we just all get along have dog-tags for all military personnel?

+0.5, wouldn't it be better to etch in names with a knife or a pen or some other writing implement for dramatic purposes?
