Defibrilator Pack

Post by Crab_Spider » 23 Jun 2017, 08:24

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Make a medical backpack that has a built in debrilator unit.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Effiency with managing tools, less shenanigans that involve you losing your only defibrillator unit.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Like the welder pack, implement a backpack for medics that comes with a trademark department tool. Instead of a fuel tank , it's what it says on the tin; a defibrillator that has more overall charge and has a set of paddles that can be pulled out when the player drags that sprite of that backpack to their character.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Spriting and coding.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

+1 Pretty neat idea that would be very helpful for medics.

What's the downside?

Welderpacks provide something you can't store in a regular backpack, and a copious amount of it, for the price of two storage slots.

Defibrillators only take up one slot anyway and eight charges lasts for quite a while. How would you balance this? Or would it essentially be a "free upgrade" backpack for medics?

*slides paper to Challenger* I believe this can be arranged...

how about it be a rechargerpack, much as the welderpack "recharges" the welder, this could sacrifice some storage space for a battery that recharges your defib

++1 that's a better idea imo.

I see plenty of medics with two defibs in their bag while I loot their dead bodies. Maybe make this just like the welder pack where they lose two slots but it works for twice the defibs a normal defib does? Whatever the end balance of this would be I think this is an idea I can get behind.

If recharging backpack will make your defib last twice longer, then it should take only one slot from backpack. Because, if it takes 2, you put defibrillator in it and you lost 3 slots. Easier to bring two defibs and have 1 more slot free. Just simple math.

+1 Sounds like a neat medic version of the welderpack, needs a downside though, and less capacity sounds reasonable enough to me.

-1

I don't think this'll be a good idea. It'll either be useless or just a lot better than the standard bag.

Why not? Sounds pretty neat to me.

+1 if they removed defibs fitting into the medical belt.
