Aliens can click on flashlights to break them.

Post by KingKire » 24 Jun 2017, 14:44

Summary:
Aliens clicking on a flashlight or armor light slashes them off.

Benefits:
Aliens dont have to spit acid onto every single light. Marines can have more lights/flares available to them since they now can be slashed off. Allows for better suspension of disbelief. Win-win-win.

Details:
Aliens standing over a light source (armor, flashlight) can left or right click on a light. After a few seconds, the light is slashed off. The light can be fixed with a little patience by a marine. (Click on light with a piece of wire, or maybe a wrench, piece of glass, or maybe a welder or something)

But seriously, does uh, anyone know the way out?!

Would this work on flares to put them out?

put a delay on it similar to how they need to stand still a little bit to break colony floodlights, but yes, theres no reason something with the strength to claw apart humans should not be able to smash or stomp a flashlight or flare apart. doing so should make a conspicuous noise, however.

I don't think 'smashing' a flare apart would turn it off. Then again, I've never used or seen a in real life before.
