The choice to stay down if pounced
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): If you get pounced, it'll be your choice to get up to avoid friendly fire situations.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Less unavoidable FF.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Same as above
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Upon 'moving' (WASD, arrow keys) you will get up after being pounced once the marines blast away the hunter ontop of you instead of automatically standing up after a set amount of time.
I imagine this to be pretty complicated to be implemented for only pounce stuns. Or is it?

You can ghetto do this by pressing rest or using a macro to rest...

This is done by resting.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. when would the movement keys kick in to start making you try to get up? there should be a delay, because you are often already pressing them to try to get away or dodge whatever is trying to pounce you

If say a Hunter pounce is 3 seconds long than using movement keys during these 3 seconds will not allow you to get up. After the stun has gone using the movement keys will stand you.
A simple fix to runners pouncing on marines than running knowing that due to the automated standup, the marine they pounced will be hit by bullets meant for the said runner.

Yes, you can use 'rest' but not every McBaldie has the macro and marines keep shooting each other.

That can already be done, just type Rest while knocked down
Making it so you have to manually get up as a base is very complicated. A Rest bind can already allow you to control this

- When you rest you get up automatically with moving. Currently you manually have to unrest even though it's clear that your intention is to get up when you try to move. So current one is the manual method.
- When you get pounced you shouldn't automatically get up because it kills you. Players should have the control. If the first part is implemented, than marines could be put into rest state and it's done. And it is totally intuitive in my opinion:
I can't move because bullets everywhere and would kill me? I don't touch buttons.
I want to get out? I just press the direction to get up and move.

Another way to fix it if this is too complex would be less chance to hit a human if they're on the ground. The amount of times I've unloaded one burst of the M41A into a hunter and then the other burst into the hunters victim is unbelievable.
