A Console to tell marine what attachments are left
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):It gets kind of annoying when you have to tell EVERY marine that one of the attachments they want is sold out. It would be awesome if you guys could add a console outside of REQ that marines can look at and see what attachments are left.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):It will make being RO or CT better and cut down on the time it takes to finish the start round REQ line. Overall it will make the experience of running the line a hell of a lot smoother
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):marines can click the console and it will show what attachments are still in the vendor.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):add a console outside of REQ, in the line or next to the chairs

I don't find this particularly interesting. There's an easy way to tell if the RO has the attachments you want

Like I said, its gets pretty annoying having to tell like 20 marines that the attachment they want is sold out. when you could just be moving on to the next person, Its just a small thing to make life easier

I think it would be easier, programming wise, to have a screen in between the line ups that replays an inputted message. So the RO or CT''s can display a message saying they just ran out of a certain attachment, or insult the marines.
LCpl. Raul Garrison: That nobody with a gun
Dr. Arthur Bennet: The guy you plead to fix you
Lt. Elizabeth Owens: The lady who won't stop badgering.

Dylan, it only works on lowpop. Yesterday, on Zombie test Req stuff nearly lost their mind telling 120 marines that tey don't have gyro.
I'm definitely into screen with message, that can be set in RO office. This will fucking help a lot Req in general. All information, from "NO REQ STAFF" to "WE RAN OUT OF: BC, QF, AND SKELETON STOCKS". Also "REQ IS CLOSED UNTIL BRIEF IS OVER".

Eh, its just easier to ask the cargo. If they get really annoyed with it, they will just announce they are out of X (whatever attachment).

Re: A Console to tell marine what attachments are left
+1 for a display that the RO can post messages on.
I'd love to be able to have something up constantly available for people to look at that tells them the important message I need them to know so they don't need to keep asking the same questions over and over wasting time. People often don't see the RO's radio messages because for some reason he isn't important enough for big letters like all the other officers. This would just make things a lot better for everyone who deals with cargo in person. Lines could move quicker with people not asking for things we don't have and cargo staff don't have to tell them we don't have it. Cargo could leave a message that no one is in at the moment or that we just aren't serving people for now so people don't have to unga dunga and smash all our windows while were out grabbing ammo from a prep room or something.
(if we ever get the cargo cafe cooking update that some of us meme'd about in the discord that one time we could also have a menu display set up, that would be lovely)

Re: A Console to tell marine what attachments are left
asking the ro ct gets especially tiring for the ro/ct, because you have to list out what you have left for every poor sucker that comes to ask
announcing that youre out of "x" will work for maybe 2 minutes until the next dope that doesnt pay attention to announcements comes asking for more goodies
maybe you could teach that pet parrot to repeat what you dont have any more of so you dont have to
ps. making humans act as the middlemen for vending machines in a game filled with perfectly functional vending machines is a little dumb!
youre using human players as a filtration system to make sure that private newbie xyz doesnt get handed a barrel charger and burstfire to complement his full ap loadout every round. if youre going to limit certain attachments to sls/specs/smartgunners just put those attachments in the sl/spec/smartgunners prep room vending machines. and put the rest in vending machines accessible to the rest of the marines. i put together a good suggestion HERE https://www.colonial-marines.com/viewto ... 59&t=13652 regarding the backwards and time wasting attachments handouts system youre currently operating on.
if there are unbalanced attachments that you need to keep out of peoples' hands, maybe thats a sign you should be rebalancing those attachments themselves rather than relying on players willing to waste their time making sure the candy is only handed out to the right babies every round, and having to tell each and every person "no rds, no gyro, no magharness" EVERY TIME THEY COME UP TO THE WINDOW because they are watching youtube videos while waiting for the dumb line to move
ha ha
well
anyways
+1 to this until a better system can be implemented

Re: A Console to tell marine what attachments are left
I genuinelly don't think attachments are important enough to warrent a big attachment monitor screen.

Re: A Console to tell marine what attachments are left
i genuinely dont think attachments are important enough for real live human beings to have to spend 10 to 15 minutes handing them out every round when there are perfectly functional vending machines in the game and yet here we are. this is a quality of life improvement for those human beings and as such i support it, but i support simply automating the process even more

Re: A Console to tell marine what attachments are left
I'll +1 it.
This prevents ROs and CTs from constantly having to go, "No, we don't have any RDS's left." "No chargers." "No gyros left." or having to go "We have pulse stock, shotgun stock, ext. barrel, recoil comp. left." Now it might not seem like a big deal, they have to do this for every marine that latejoins and having to type it up every time is a tedious affair.
The problem with announcing what attachments are left is that RO text really doesn't stand out. They're often drowned out by squad comms and the general mess that is general comms.

Troublesome, as usual.

Re: A Console to tell marine what attachments are left
Asking the cargo crew while most rounds are 150+ players is madness.
This would be a nice improving life quality change. +1

+1, I don't know how big of a pain in the ass it would be to implement, but it would be nice not to have to say "out of X" 15 times
