Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): An edit to the official CM Wikipedia stating that only the active, white-listed commander can perform a battlefield execution.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Will help to avoid a whole lot of confusion about who can and cannot perform a battlefield execution
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): The current wiki states that "The Commander & Admiral of the Almayer holds the authority to perform a Battlefield Execution." I was playing a game where we had an XO and two SOs. The XO left and made me, an SO, commander of the Almayer. I wanted to execute someone who attempted to murder one of the MPs by shooting him in the head with a revolver while resisting arrest. According to the wiki it seemed like I had the authority to do it too but after a while a moderator said 'that is a white listing privileged and reserved for white listed commanders only'. Fair enough, but since it wasn't clarified that makes the wiki kind of ambiguous and open for interpretation about what counts as a "Commander of the Almayer" and who has the actual authority to do that.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Here is the link to the wiki: wiki/Marine_Law#Current_Marine_Laws and the section that should be clarified is the battlefield execution section

I know it may seem ambiguous but it does say Commander, not Acting Commander.

Battle-field execution is a whitelisted privilege, an execution is able to be performed by the Acting Commander and the procedure must be followed.

All I am saying is a clarification on the Wiki stating that it has to be the whitelisted/original commander and that an acting commander cannot perform battlefield executions. Just to avoid future confusion

It says commander, not acting commander.
The "Commander" is a specific role.

I yield to you then, just thought it could avoid potential confusion for dumb people like me to change it.apophis775 wrote:It says commander, not acting commander.
