Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Being thrown in the brig for atleast five minutes for just talking and behaving like marines just out of cryosleep would isn't a fun experience for anybody.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): This would arguably make being arrested for a minor offense less soul-destroying and more engaging.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): As an alternative to minor offenses, such as Disrespect to a Superior, Hooliganism. Improper Uniform, Drinking on Duty, and similiar charges, the offending marine may be forced to perform a Non-Judical Punishment. Such as push ups, running laps in the hangar, or assigned a less-preferable duty such as cleaning the canteens, etc, instead of serving time in the brig for their charge.

I was under the impression that all medical staff, CMO included, were civilian contractors. Ergo wouldn't they not have to do that?


+1 to this suggestion in either case, I always thought brigging encouraged anti-RP in a lot of scenarios since you're just sitting in a cell. NJP will lead to more interesting RP.

If pushups become a thing, it should be a verb with a cooldown so that it isn't spammed to get out of a punishment easily.

Parole is already implemented in the game, it is just that nobody uses it. Whenever I go CMP I always offer the low tier crimes an option of giving blood to be let out on parole. Personally I think the OJ Simpson option could be used more but you tend to get Jack Knight as CMP.
