Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
I've been ERT leader without noticing it until much later on before, the thing when you first spawn isn't very noticable if you weren't looking out specifically for it, and from then on, the only way you are aware is if you happen to examine yourself.
It'd be better if the text notification was in big red text!
Also, it'd be good if as ERT leader they also have big text when talking like with squad leaders. A built in megaphone to their facemask could be a neat touch too.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
More leadership from ERT leaders, which would encourage more interesting ERT behavior (teamwork) than just acting like random extra players added with different gear.

Sometimes, a "holy shit!" must be added to notify you of the gravity of being the leader of a EMERGENCY response team in which you are probably heading into hell itself and you better lead your makeshift band of mercenary gun hoe simpletons to battle.
