Re: USCM FLAG
+1, but only if you can stab it in a xeno corpse and have it wave peacefully in the space wind.
It's just one of those neat little things.
It's just one of those neat little things.
When the voice from the shadows calls you
When the wind whips past your ears
Will you stand when the weight is upon you
Or will you go to your knees in fear?

+1 for immersion and patriotic feels while defending the colors against an overwhelming swarm of Xenos.

Re: USCM FLAG
+1 I think this would be a very fun Item to use. I personally think it would work best in the RO vendor and act like a machete, have a banner for every squad, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta, of the responding colors. Just simple squad color banners could make for a great 'rally' role per squad marking a squad member to be universal rally guy.

Re: USCM FLAG
Wait, the Sulaco as an American Ship doesn't have American/USCMC Flags yet?
+1, imagine having this at a FOB and coming back after an injury, or carrying this into a cave's assault over the river. Badass, and would make it seem more homely. Believe it or not, despite the fact this is a game, virtual mahrines need moral too.

Re: USCM FLAG
We were discussing this, here's some of the results:
1. We'll never put US or real country flags into the game as objections players can interact or screw with. It's disrespectful to the flags and countries, and being a veteran myself and knowing what the flag means to our veterans and military, I'd NEVER authroize that.
2. We did discuss a "guidon" bearer. However, the thing is that the "guidon" stays with a unit or Company commander. Individual squads never have them. Any flag we had, would be stationed on the Sulaco (unless the commander left) because the flag would "accompany" him.
However, stickied for more discussion.

Re: USCM FLAG
We could always have the United Americas flag, but it absolutely would not prevent players on any side from disrespecting it in any way they see fit
As for the USCM symbol, it seems to be used liberally on the ship already

Perhaps something like these, I mean I know they're stitch on badges but we could change one to a flag if need be.
Mainly the top left, the rest are different divisions based in different areas around the world.
Alternately as we have custom lore we could create our own flag?
Or this?

Re: USCM FLAG
The United Americas flag is the second top on the right-most row, with the single big star on a black background
As for the USCM insigna, we seem to use the second top on the second row from left already

Re: USCM FLAG
Well I would be in full support of a United Americas flag, but not a US Flag (wouldn't be canonically correct iirc anyways)

Re: USCM FLAG
I really just want a flag to mark the FOB and having something to plant down anywhere that is of significance, having a "Guidon" bearer would be nice too.
Any flag would do, it doesn't have to be a country flag.

Actually, both are correct.NoahKirchner wrote:Well I would be in full support of a United Americas flag, but not a US Flag (wouldn't be canonically correct iirc anyways)
The USCM (United States Colonial Marines) display the US Flag on their uniforms because they are US Soldiers.
United Americas is more of a alliance of american countries (headed and presumably founded by the US), which includes the United States as a member. Think of the relationship between Germany and the EU. That's how it is with the United States and the UA.

Well, Aliens universe it seem that the US is part of the "United Americas". http://avp.wikia.com/wiki/United_Americasapophis775 wrote:We were discussing this, here's some of the results:

The flag look like this:
Yeah, I think how "united" United Americas seem to be I think it's ok to hang their flags around.SecretStamos (Joshuu) wrote:Actually, both are correct.

Make it possible to attach flag to the back instead of backpack samurai-style. So B18 spec can lead the assault with flag on his back and marines following him with HURRRRRAI!

Re: USCM FLAG
Maybe if we decide to go with the flag-bearer idea too, we could make the flags act like "Moral Points", like the drones "Hormone" system, but for marines.
Dunno, just an idea.
+1 though, I like it.
