Incorporation of the Lance Corporal

Lately I've noticed Squad Leaders chopping squads up into fireteams, which is useful in every way except one.

Chain of Command.

If you make a squad into several fireteams of 3-4 standards, then send them to do something, there is nobody to keep them in line.

To those SL's who like making fireteams, send a standard from each team to the CO or XO desk before the mission starts and make someone in each fireteam a Lance Corporal. It's the rank right before CPL(Medics and Engineers) and right after PFC. It would help the other PFC or PVT standards know who to look to. For sake of less confusion, if you make a hand picked team, give some scrub this custom rank so the other scrubs know who their boss is, and you can put their name into your notes and know who to yell at.

EX. LCPL Baldie McScrublord is the Lance Corporal over PVT John Doe, PFC Billy Mays, and PVT Jane Doe. Instead of saying "You people in team X do this" just yell at LCPL Baldie McScrublord to take his team and go do it. It gives him some feeling of importance, lets the others in his team know he's the boss, and you effectively established yet another link in the Chain of Command for Standards to look to when you, your spec, and your Corporals inevitably die.

Just a light PSA. It would be more roundstart confusion but it would work much better in the long run imho.
