When you been gone for what seems like a week...

Post by Renomaki » 22 Jan 2017, 18:52

... And it already feels like a month.

Man, I really lost track of time since my retirement and break from CM. You try so hard to get away from it, only to yearn for your old marine ARR PEE.

Of course, I do plan on returning sooner or later.. Just not yet, though.

Anyone else felt something similar, or am I just a sad little man?

How it looks like for me:

Retired.
Two months later went "hey CM was pretty good"
Return, get hugged out of the ass on my first round.
Leave for a week.
Return, get hugged.
Leave for a month again.
Return, get hugged.
Repeat ad nauseum.

I'll probably return for good once hugger combat is gone, but for now, it's pretty effective at bouncing me away from the server.

Week 3: No stop it, you have to stop!
Week 4: What the harm in being in the fourms
Week 5: Its been a bit, lets play CM again and cycle repeats

WO was and is a nice break from hugger combat and a good way for salty marines/ones that don't feel useful in a normal round to unwind and get some experience slaughtering xeno. As for the xeno players of WO, I'm not really sure what it is that actracts you to the idea of dying and respawning within the space of a minute, but keep up that good attitude! I think.

Also I left CM for a week once, I've been on almost daily since.
Garth Pawolski, or is it Powalski?

Back in action.

If you have doubts, get hugged I'm sure you'll want to quit the game again.

I went back to playing Doctor/CMO/Researcher and other Sulaco roles.

I enjoy CM again.

Same here
"In 100 years more we will be a story. In 200 years an epic period. In 500 years a medieval tale.
In 1,000 years a relic. In 5,000 years archaeological remains. In 10,000 years an ancient mystery.
In 20,000 years a legend like Atlantis. We are nothing. Life is so short and death so long. "
