Last Words Thread

I don't think I've seen anything like this, but apologies if there exists one already.

Simple idea, state your characters' best last words and maybe the story behind them as well.


I'll start with quite a simple one:

"YES"

I'd been captured by xenos and infected straight after getting off the shuttle (started late game). The xenos mounted a full assault on the shuttle so I was left unguarded when I made a second escape attempt. I made it back to the shuttle to find xenos on its west side so I ran around the bottom (by luck alone avoiding a couple acid bolts) and into the east entrance. The shuttle had been called remotely so the two runners that had entered got off, leaving me there. On my own. Everyone on board was dead. I celebrated with a cry of "YES" only to walk two steps towards checking if the back was safe when I went unconscious from the larva. I was on the floor shaking just until the shuttle landed, at which time the larva was born, replacing me as the sole passenger.

After a disastrous round as PO, I was on the bridge with the command crew lamenting our poor operation, when an alert came that the Rasputin was on a collision course with the Sulaco. I managed to say "Fuck" before me and the rest of the bridge crew were gibbed.

I got wounded on the ship after it was boarded and stumbled into mess hall and a medic fixed me up and gave me one last smoke and after burning my face a little lit it for me. They went to prep to get something and I moved to cover them aggravating my wounds and sat in another chair and couldn't move. They sat next to me and I offered them a reward for their help earlier. In my pack was a gold bar, but they were more interested in the chicken meals I had instead.

"Do you think I could light a cigarette with a flamer?" I melted my face off but got revived.

For some context, earlier in the round me and another marine were looting the kitchen in Nexus and returning everything we got to Engineering, our squad's main FOB.
I put on an apron and he a chef hat, and together we attempted to cook with nothing but milk and eggs. We made ourselves the official cooks on the field of the platoon.

Sadly though the other marine was killed while fighting, and sometime after I was captured. Turns out the hunter was the marine now in alien-form, ready to watch me burst and ascend to xenohood myself.
