Impossible lighting... possible?

So I was playing on Aurora the other day, turned on the PDA light cause it was dark and bang... it only lit in front of me... I dunno how they did it with BYOND code, but it is pretty cool, I know Apop is pretty tight with the other server admins, you should ask them about it, I know there were several suggestions about that kind of lighting.

I would think that doing this in macro and on such a large scale would be a pain in the ass, lighting is one of the laggier parts of ss13.

That's pretty cool actually. I don't think I saw suggestions about it, but if you can find them bump them and talk about this if you're that interested.

No way, that sounds awesome. i gotta check out auroa again. I had a cool idea about having the taclight illuminate around your cursor, but i didnt think the tech was available for it yet. sweeeet
