This is a Marine ship, make it look like one!

Post by taketheshot56 » 25 Apr 2017, 02:54

Currently we, as im sure others have pointed out. Are operating on this new ship. Its the first day, not everything is right and so be it. However there is something just not right, not....marine enough. The colors! You betcha, the damn colors. All I see is a dark blue, dark green grayish bland walls. However, that is not what a USCM ship should look like. Believe it or not Marines are very proud of their ship. To leave it in the state it is right now, bleak and dull would shock even the baldest boot of a private fresh from Camp Lejeune. Allow me to introduce some helpful pictures.

Image

Look at these ROBUST marines, and more importantly look at their ship! Bright white, waxed floors that are gleaming along the gangway.

Now look at these non robust sailors, look at the mess of their rec room, a bleak grey hole (Much like the Alaymeyer right now)

Even more ROBUST marines cleaning their pulse rifles in the hall of this brightly gleaming assault ship. Do you see any dark hallways like on the Alameyer?

Now, "Why?" You might ask well Ill show you, you see once a day every week, every marine cleans the absolute shit. Out of their barrack/posting etc. I mean really clean, make sure that its in the best possible shape for inspection.

So case in point, brighten up and lighten up the Alameyer, this isnt some shabby freighter this is the newest, most modern ship in the fleet. Lets make her look like it.

Matching it to IRL marines makes no sense, it's modeled off the movies

Ships in the aliens universe, at least the good movies, are cavernous darkly lit industrial behemoths.

Have you ever watched Alien or Aliens?

Ships are industrial and dark, they look like the forgotten maintenence area of a factory

I was hoping this was a topic about cleaning up our messes and not leaving dozens of weapons, backpacks, and magazines all over the floor in prep, briefing and mess hall.
Bran Jast. Over worked Bridge officer, uncaring MP, injured Marine. Shrug. Now without Robot Arm!

I'm waiting on the day when we get a hardass CO who won't let the marines deploy until they've clean their prep rooms and police called the ship for cigarette butts.

Someone change this into a suggestion for marines to forcefully clean the entire ship or lose.

Which makes sense, since the crew are asleep for massive stretches of time between combat drops. They have almost no time to be sweeping and scrubbing.
I play as this guy, proudly being dismembered by extraterrestrials since 2015.
Sometimes I might play other guys, you never know.
