The XO and the last few.

Post by Kovalchuk17 » 29 Apr 2017, 16:28

Honestly just had the most fun round I've ever played on CM. I was hoping somewhere here got a screenshot or could share there view of it.

I, Ilya 'Rusty' Kyle, was the XO that was sent down to oversee the FOB at LZ1 during this round, due a couple of command failures at squad level. The FOB under heavy xeno attack. I was standing in the middle of all the fray with a megaphone yelling things that clearly improved morale.
Suddenly Comms go down.
Everything is fine we think, were holding. A mass retreat is ordered back to the shuttle over announcement. As we begin to turn from our defenses- we realize there is no escape. The swarm had gotten behind us and cut us offf from the FOB. As the highest ranking on the ground I ordered EVERYONE to follow me.
This is where the fun began.
We pushed south of the FOB, 10-15 of us and made it to LZ2. We waited for a few; regrouped and asked if we should wait for a shuttle that'll never come. All these men looked at me for the decision and I made the call to retreat south into the cave networks, and they all followed. I was shocked. We held a small dead end in the caves for a while, had some great RP. They eventually found us, we killed a good few, but all eventually died. It was great for RP.
Hoping someone got a screenshot or something it was really a fine example of roleplaying and unique situations.
