Good Round!

I started my night playing as a Bravo's Specialist with a smart gun, it was a good round, with a great SL. Squad kept its shit pretty much together, Que a lot of running around, guns slinging and a heroic last stand by one man with a flamer and a Autogun in the bar. We fall back to the FOB, much more fighting and screaming onto the coms happens. Run the Smart gun down to its last few rounds holding every passageway we can, covering the remains of the rest of the squads as they fall back.

During the fight, just as we were starting to pull back I get grabbed, by the Queen no less and dragged away, huggered, and then webbed up. Get on the coms, tell my squad leader that this is it, I'll blow my demo charges as soon as I can and that I won't give them another creature to deal with.

Just as I"m arming the C4 charge, a Pred breaks into the hive, a spitter tries to drag me away but drops me, I drop the charge and the Pred grabs me and hauls me away, much to my shock. So I'm talking to the coms, telling my squad about all this, and after hauling my bleeding ass half way around the map he tosses me over the barrier into LZ2 at my buddies.

All this is great, but as they freak out and drag me onto the DS, I'm screaming at them to get me to the ship and into surgery (I've watched other marines 'pop') and they're freaking out, I'm freaking out. Get to the ship, get hauled into med-Bay. Doc grabs me, puts me under, just starts cutting.

Then my chest explodes, and out pops Athena Aggley Jr.

Great fun round, Squad was awesome, Pred was hilarious, and things rocked.

I'm happy to see a happy round post instead of a "ree this round sucked" post.

Thought it'd b a switch. Was a great run, the Pred throwing me back at the other marines really made it.

Just slightly, was amused I got that far at all considering I was seconds from Demo'ing the nest I was in with C4, and me right in the middle. Entertaining way to end the round though!

This story here, is one of the reasons why I play Colonial Marines. The good rounds play out like a freaking movie, its awesome.
