Post a screenshot of YOUR medic loadout
A topic that is spawned when 3 medic mains stumbled upon the heresy that is a medic baldie's lifesaver's belt. Shock and pain ensued.
So this is a simple topic, post a screenshot of your medic loadout, give some info about it and begin arguing with other medics on how bad theirs are. Easy right?
Since every medic has their own unique playstyle/loadout why not learn the downside and upsides of them and create the ULTIMATE loadout
Here is mine:
Got pills on standby at the ready which is the equivalent of a auto-injector. From time to time, I will fully load the belt with pills once again. Inside my backpack (which I forgot to screenshot) I have...
A ADV aid kit (filled with 25 trauma kit, 10 burn kit and 5 splints)
A normal aid kit (filled with 1 Dylo pill bottle, 1 Dex pill bottle, 3 QC, 1 Bicard pill bottle, 1 Trama pill bottle)
The remaining space is filled with a Kelo pill bottle, Peri pill bottle, 1 Random chemistry pill bottle (Iron Sugar) and leaving an extra space for either a stasis bag, roller bed or a free space for the mighty light replacer.
On my webbing, I have 3 mags of ammo
On my armour, an oxycodone injector for those "CHEESE IT" moments and a Dex+ for that one guy who won't get defib because he has 200+ suffocation.

Most chems take time to work. If you have time to administer a pill, you have time to take it out of a bottle. I'd rather carry 12 of a pill and take a few extra seconds to get to it than run out of the medication. Also leaves room to carry extra on hand trauma kits and splints.
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....

Bingo. Using actual pills to take up inv space is inefficient and taking pills from a bottle can happen in the blink of an eye. Pill bottles also let you carry all the pills you'll need, so just get one pill bottle and put all your rag tag pills in it if you don't want to fish out several pill bottles to treat someone.Biolock wrote:Most chems take time to work. Backpack: Standard affair for a all around kit, one exception is the standard FAK. I empty it and I place misc items in it, that round I put mostly M41A ammo and some spare pill bottles.
Webbing: Just more ammo.
Armour: Two Oxycodone for myself in case I get wounded and I need to run away to saftey.
Lifesaver Bag: Four Dex+, Five tricord and five quick clot. Plus tramadol, kelotane, bicard and inaprov pill bottles. I prefer this as I can use autoinjectors much quicker and I can save them and refill them for free at a Marine Medic Prep.

My reasoning is that most of the time, medics will be in high danger where seconds matter. There could be a queen screech incoming, a Ravager, a random ass runner that could disrupt you since medics are usually not far from the frontline itself.Biolock wrote:Most chems take time to work. So when that happens, you either book it and or drop a single pill and equip the your gun and start shooting. Also works great with SMG's since you have a free hand to defend yourself. Plus, you don't really run out of pills often, just trauma kits and splints.

Re: Post a screenshot of YOUR medic loadout
Lifesaver bag
Six advanced trauma packs, five advanced burn packs, three splints, one pill bottle of bicaridine/kelotane/peridaxon. Three slots are taken up by autoinjectors and depends on what else I'm carrying, but usually it's one stick of dylo (for fast response to QC OD freefall) and two sticks of dex (fast response to oxy loss freefall). The rest of the space is either custom chemistry pill bottles or more advanced packs. Recently I've taken more splints because of reports that, for cost reasons, the USCM has removed the fluorine from its water supply cough crushers break every fucking bone these days cough
Pockets
Health analyzer, tramadol pill bottle.
Webbing
Three of the same autoinjector, sometimes dex plus, sometimes oxy, sometimes tricord. The point of the webbing is to get to a stick while in an "oh shit" scenario when you really don't want to fumble with your inventory to fish out one thing out of many. I'm starting to like oxycodone less and less these days, I don't think it really helps me much even in the situations it's purportedly meant for.
Armor slots
Hypospray with 2:1 mix of Inaprovaline to Quick Clot. Syringe case with syringe, inaprovaline bottle that (after filling the hypospray) is a 2:1 Inaprov:QC mix, spaceacillin that (after seeing significant combat) is filled with O- blood from whoever's closest to me with that type of blood.
Backpack
Defib, roller bed, fire extinguisher.
One first aid kit with a HF2 analyzer (in case I lose my first one) and spare autoinjectors, choices in order of commonness are QC, dex plus, dylo, oxy, tri, kelo, inaprov.
One first aid kit with five pill bottles: dylo, dex, tram, bi, kelo, and a welder and cable coil. I don't take a welding mask/goggles because peridaxon will heal your eye damage if you don't go overboard.
Advanced kits stay the way they are, but sometimes I take out the tri sticks and replace them with something else.

Re: Post a screenshot of YOUR medic loadout
CLB- 3 advanced bruise kits, 1 advanced burn kit, 1 splint, 3 QC autoinjectors, 6 MODIFIED tricord autoinjectors, 1 tramadol pill bottle, 1 kelotane pill bottle (double-filled), 1 bicardine pill bottle, 1 dylovene pill bottle, 1 perdiox pill bottle, 2 MODIFIED inaprovaline autoinjectors.
The CLB loadout is designed to allow me to treat people VERY rapidly short-term, and hold enough chems in bottles to allow me to stabilize anyone over time. I carry extra brute kits and splints in my RESUPPLY kits, and don't carry burn kits because kelotane is cheap. Additionally, those 3 can be gotten from hacked medical machines, and we always get 9001 of those (WHY... just use 1 or 2... why so many...). The tricord injectors I use are modified to 10u tricord, 5u bicard, to allow more overall and burst healing, while the inaprov injectors are modified for 5u tricord and 10u kelotane, for instant and rapid burst response.
Chemist substitutions- Peridex+ for perdiox, 15u bicard for the bicard pill bottle, and keloderm for the kelotane pills. Additionally, if I can get 20u tricord pills, I'll trade an inaprov injector for it, as tricord's hard to come by on the surface without making it yourself, and it's decent as an additive to everything.
Backpack- MRE, handgun, 3x RESUPPLY kits, 1x UNUSUAL kit, 1x defib.
RESUPPLY kit- Advanced first-aid kit with 1x splint, 2x advanced trauma pack, 2x QC, and 2x Tricord injector.
Not meant to be used directly, but used to restock my CLB once I run through the first row of supplies.
UNUSUAL kit- 1x dex+ autoinjector, 1x dexalin pill, 1x syringe, 1x antibiotic pill bottle, 1x syringe case (bottle of bicard, kelotane, and tricord inside), 2x O- blood bags.
I've never used the dex+, dexalin, or antibiotics, but they're there if I need them. The syringe and bottles are for modifying injectors, if I have time, and the blood...
MEDICS. You guys need to start taking blood. It saddens me to see 4 IVs dragged to the FoB and sit empty for the entire round because no one uses them.
Webbing-1x tricord injector, 1x QC, 1x bruise pack. It's a panic stash, nothing more.
Pockets- Health analyzer, bruise pack. They're my most-used items.
Armor and suit is a SMG and 2 magazines, cause sometimes you gotta shoot.
Things I do not take-
Dex+- I take ONE, and never use it. If you give someone tricord, and the chem that heals the specific type of damage, they will heal out of crit faster than they can take O2 damage. I have injectors that can do this.
Dexalin- Same reason.
Oxycodone- Too short-lived, does not fix problem. I rarely use tramadol too, as it encourages 'rines to sprint off before I'm done. ONLY if you have burns and I gave you kelo/ we're ACTIVELY overrun.
Hyposprays- I love them as MD, but it's annoying to make good mixes as Medic.
QC not in an injector- Too risky for me to want to use.

Re: Post a screenshot of YOUR medic loadout
Tomas, Soft, and Kath, sitting around at cargo, staring into a lifesaver bag while all simultaneously screeching. A+.
Tomas's medic loadout has been changing (quite literally) on a daily basis, utilizing suggestions from the forums, from other medics in the field, and by my own personnel experience. Here's a rough idea of what I'm running at the current moment.
Life-Saver Bag: 6 Brute Packs, 4 Burn Packs, 4 Splints, 1 Tram pb, 2 Kelo pbs, 2 Bicard pbs, 1 Dex pb, 1 Peri pb. I replace a Burn pack with Iron/Sugar pills when available.
On Person: Pockets have a mediscanner and tramadol pill bottle. Surprise surprise. Might replace the tram bottle with a brute pack later, see if it works for me.
My webbing has 2 hyposprays, one with Oxy, one with a 2:1 ratio of Inaprov and QuickClot. Both are labeled. There's also a syringe case with a syringe full of QC, a bottle of inaprov, and a spare syringe.
My armor has my spare ammo. The gun I use changes often, but at the moment it's an SMG with a Rail Light and Extended Barrel. I use normal rounds instead of AP, because to my knowledge, the only thing that AP is useful for nowadays is Crushers, and SMG AP doesn't pierce crushers. At all. It's really weird.
My helmet has a metal flask full of tricord. Not sure how useful it is at the moment, I've only started using it recently. I previously had my cards and smokes on my helmet, and a tricord hypo instead of an oxy hypo.
I also always grab the gloves and mask from medical to wear. It's half to help other marines identify me, and half because I look badass. You get 3 medics with the gloves and mask together, and it looks like you've formed a boyband.
Backpack: A roller bed, a Defib, a Fire extinguisher (Praise the fire extinguisher), Two Advanced Medkits (Stack Refill), One Normal Medkit (Med Refill), One Radiation Medkit (Spare Stuff)
Advanced Medkits: Each have 4 Brute kits, 2 Burn kits, and 1 Splint.
Normal Medkit: Constantly changing this one. Right now, inside I have 1 Dylo pill bottle, 1 Dex pill bottle, 1 Kelo pill bottle, and then other shit. I'm likely going to try out 1 full bottle of oxy, 2 tricord injectors, and another bicard pill bottle next round. We'll see if that works.
Radiation Medkit: I empty one in medbay, the docs don't seem to mind because they're never used. Inside is where I store random crap like Statis Bags, extra food, and my smokes and cards (Yes, I will totally sacrifice extra space for brute kits, so I can fit my cards in there. I need those fucking cards, you never know when you have to play Blackjack).
Some extra notes about the loadout:
-This is admittedly a powergamey loadout, but having a good loadout DOES NOT make you a good medic. Some of the best medics I know carry less than me, and use the medivends dragged to the FOB to restock when they need to.
-If you intend to make your own loadout, make sure you avoid relying on other people as much as possible. If you wanna use an all bottle loadout, it will be hard as hell to convince doctors to get you all of your stuff every round. Always make a loadout and routine that you KNOW you can execute consistently, else you'll end up frustrated (this goes double for attachments)
-Switching over to the QC hypo effectively brought up my QC capacity from 6 uses to 15. With internal bleeding becoming more common, I've used 12 QC shots within an hour easily (as a FOB medic with only one partner). I'm not sure if Foam was the first one to start using it, but they were the one that taught me it, so danke to zem!
-I did the math, and if you accidentally use the QC hypo on the same patient twice due to misclick, it SHOULDN'T OD them. That being said, I've yet to accidentally do it, so be careful anyways.
-Started using Oxy hypos as per (Cliff Campbells?) suggestion, I've no idea if they're for me yet. I might replace them some day.
-I'm missing 3 pill bottles: Inaprov, Antibiotics, and Russian Red. I've never found a need to use any of them so far, although I know someone told me that they've had to cure an infection using Antibiotics.
-Cards are essential to the loadout.

Re: Post a screenshot of YOUR medic loadout
I don't got a screenshot, but I do have an idea of a common loadout I tend to use on those rare days I go medic.
Lifesaver bag: 4 Quick clots, 3 Bicard injectors, 2 Kelo injectors, two Dex+ injectors, 2 gauze rolls, 2 cream tubes, 2 Advanced Brute Packs, 2 Advanced Burn Packs, A bottle of tramadol pills, a pack of splints, and... I think that is it in there.
Backpack: A defib, a stasis bag, a ration bar (or bag if I am lucky to snag one), a modified medkit [filled with gauze, cream, tricord injectors and a needle case with spaceacillian and anti-tox for infections), a modified ADVANCED medkit [with 4 advanced brute packs, 2 advanced burn packs and splints), and a bottle of peri if I am able to get my hands on some at round start.
Webbing: This is where I put my ammo for the gun I plan on using for urgent situations. My gun of choice as a medic is the SMG, since it is light and nimble, so of course I just put SMG ammo in here.
Armor: I put two pill bottles in here. One bottle of Bicard, one bottle of Kelo.
Now, this isn't the perfect representation of my average kit, but it is pretty close. Some might call me a noob for carrying so many injectors when pills and Adv packs last so much longer, but here is the thing... Sometimes you don't have time to stuff a pill in someone's mouth, and giving every limb medical treatment takes time. In situations where you need to work quickly, sometimes you gotta pop out an injector and pump em full of healing juice, then follow up with a pain killer so they can get back into the fight sooner while their wounds heal.

M39 with rail light suppressor, with two spare mags in the armor. Oxycodone and dexalin plus injectors in the webbing.
Health Analyzer and tramadol pill bottle in pockets for easy access. Two advanced trauma and burn packs, two splints, pill bottle covering each damage type, two injectors of bicaridine, kelo and tricord, one dexalin, the rest is QuickClot. Some spare of all of those in the medkits inside backpack.

Re: Post a screenshot of YOUR medic loadout
Seeing other medic's loadouts it's pretty fun and interesting. One question to those who use primarily auto-injectors as a means to treat people.
How fast do you run out of supplies? Is there any major problems you encounter when you play like this?

Re: Post a screenshot of YOUR medic loadout
The auto-injectors can run out if casualties come in often, but for the most part they are an accessory to help people recover alongside burn/trauma kits and other medical items. Quickclot being the main exception.
Re-supply can be a issue, but if there is a Marine Medic Prep/Weyland Med machine nearby, such as the FoB, you can quickly refill your med supplies with bottles and other. So its not a huge problem.

As far as I know, there is only Weyland Med in Big Red which only give liquid bottles of meds. Can you renew your injectors with those? Or do you use syringes or other ways?Steelpoint wrote:Re-supply can be a issue, but if there is a Marine Medic Prep/Weyland Med machine nearby, such as the FoB, you can quickly refill your med supplies with bottles and other. Re: Post a screenshot of YOUR medic loadout
You can't refill used autoinjectors with syringes, and unfortunately, the only autoinjectors in the WeyYu meds are the QC, dex+, and inaprov autoinjectors, so you can't refill other autoinjectors like the bicaridine or kelo one. If you use tricord autoinjectors, you can just refill them from the nanomeds in DS1 / DS2.Ikmalmn wrote:As far as I know, there is only Weyland Med in Big Red which only give liquid bottles of meds. MarineMeds being wrenchable when????
Id use autoinjectors much more if you could wrench a MarineMed with you later on in the operation.

Re: Post a screenshot of YOUR medic loadout
I don't want to give away my favorite tactic, but damnit, the "Pills" in lifesaver bag helped me!
There's THREE hypos in the Medbay. Several more in the WeylandMed's.
I generally use a Hypo with a Kelotane and Bicaridine bottle in my lifesaver bag (screenshots pending) and when treating gravely wounded a quick few pokes with a Bicaridine/Kelo hypo is great. Use it on yourself when taking damage and you're fleeing the enemy...
Whenever you've got a great Medical team that gives you KeloDerm/Big Bicaridine instead use it as an Oxy/Tram Hypo, 50/50 mix. Great for instant "on your feet" and the tram lasts longer to give the time for the healing juices to flow.

Autoinjectors do run out, but they're just there for the START of the op and for panic treatment.
PROTIP- Go to planetside medical storage. Open all medicine cabinets (About 6). Take the boxes of injectors (7 tricord injectors apiece). Laugh as you have more than enough tricord injectors forever.

I'd say it would even be okay to take the boxes from medbay storage in the Almayer.Jroinc1 wrote:PROTIP- Go to planetside medical storage. Open all medicine cabinets (About 6). Take the boxes of injectors (7 tricord injectors apiece). Laugh as you have more than enough tricord injectors forever.
I rarely see those boxes taken or used. Sometimes, doctors don't even open those lockers.

I mean, yeah, but these are planetside and you can bring them all to the FoB in 3-4 trips for ~40-50 injectors, without having to drag the box down.Andkert wrote:I'd say it would even be okay to take the boxes from medbay storage in the Almayer.

Re: Post a screenshot of YOUR medic loadout
Do medics have access to the lockers in planet medbay? I don't remember, but I'll do this next round I play medic. Just need to know if I need to pack ammo for shooting the lockers.Jroinc1 wrote:I mean, yeah, but these are planetside and you can bring them all to the FoB in 3-4 trips for ~40-50 injectors, without having to drag the box down.

- My GO TO Medical Loadout
- 3 SMG Magazines = Webbing
- 1 Oxycodone & Dexalin+ Autoinjector = Suit Storage
- 7 Trauma Kits, 2 Burn kits, 6 Quick clot Auto injectors, 1 Dexalin+, 2 Tramadol Pill bottles, 1 Bicaridine Pill bottle, 1 Kelotane Pill bottle, Syringe Case (with Inapprovaline Bottle, Dylovene Bottle, & Spaceacellin Bottle) = Life-Saver Bag
v SEE SPOILER BELOW FOR PICTURE! v
- 1 Medical Kit, 1 Advanced Medical Kit, 1 Defib, 1 Roller bed, Splints, 1 Perixadon Pill bottle & 1 Dexalin Pill bottle = Backpack/Satchel
v SEE SPOILER BELOW FOR PICTURE! v
- 1 Tramadol, 1 Kelotane, 1 Perixadon, 2 Trauma kits, 1 Burn kit, & Syringe Case = 1 Oxycodone, 1 Quick clot, and a /SPARE/ Syringe (Cause GOD FUCKING KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES I ACCIDENTLY HARM INTENTED SOMEONE WITH THE SYRINGE AND BROKE IT) = Medical Kit
v SEE SPOILER BELOW FOR PICTURE! v
- 3 Trauma Kits, 2 Burn kits, 1 Splint, 1 Quick clot = Advanced Medical Kit
v SEE SPOILER BELOW FOR PICTURE! v
- IF the CHEMIST decides he/she wants to LOVE the Medics
- Bicaridine Pill bottles [5u] is swapped for Bicaridine Pill bottles [15u]
- Kelotane Pill bottles is swapped for KeloDerm Pills
- Perixadon & Dexalin is swapped for PeriDex+ (Take 1 for use, and a spare)
- LOADOUT TL;DR
My loadout has always worked for me, has been tested and proven (by me) several times over a range of 3 characters in a span of, I'd like to say a year. So I'd like to attest that it's a fairly reliable, relatively SIMPLE & CLEAN loadout to get together and be down on First drop. This loadout isn't for the FOB duty Medic who has all the time in the world, It'll work but it's MUCH more effective and geared towards being in the middle of the S U C C and making due. I specifically designed it for being on the FRONTLINE where the casualties are pouring in and I can immediately, without worry or fear, mend to their wounds, get them patched up and back in the fight as fast as I can WITHOUT having to work on them later. Hence why there's ALOT of Trauma kits & Quick clots. It might seem like a drag with all the pills to treat the wounded, but if you keep it organized and keep your cool (MOST IMPORTANT FOR A MEDIC!) It would easily become second nature & thus almost as fast as a auto injector only loadout.
Hope my loadout helps!
