Attachments are NEVER essential, you just think they are. In actuality, medics really shouldn't be receiving attachments as they should focus more on saving marines rather than shooting.

Re: Your most salty moments here!
Yeah... No nonsense Req officers make me just... Depressed. I was asked if I was missing my ears at one point because I didn't hear they were out of barrel chargers. During requisitions the comms are FULL so I don't know why I was getting chewed out, it adds interesting conflict IC though so I don't mind as much. I haven't even noticed that much of a difference when I don't have attachments.solidfury7 wrote:Oddly enough, getting no attachments rubs me the wrong way. As SL or Medic, as I tend to NEED them with the loadouts I take.
Sometimes it'll even drive me to cryo. Mag harnesses are essential to me.

Why didn't you ahelp that?DreadPirateFury wrote:My saltiest moment was dealing with heat from some Mature Runner 663 telling me I was a beta cuck for roleplaying a female. Fun fact I was complaining about people being salty, which made me salty, giving this troll a window into my soul which he then sought out to exploit.
I succumbed to the trolls... NEVER AGAIN.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

Because we were both in the wrong. I used some choice expletives to describe how I felt about that guy.Crab_Spider wrote:Why didn't you ahelp that?

I used to subscribe to that school of thought but I've found especially when the heat has turned up that it's better to have more firepower for the squad if there's room to fire. It's difficult to save your marines if the Xenos overrun your position or keep stacking up more critically wounded people to treat.DrPng wrote:Attachments are NEVER essential, you just think they are. It's not though. I'm just as good without attachments than I am with them. Only attachments that I can see making a difference are barrel chargers, bayonets and rail flashies. Increased fire rates/ minor accuracy buffs you are just better off without. More damage, doing more damage when you melee with a weapon and seeing a threat before it's too late matter more. If you wanna make your shots count, burst fire is already there for you. Accuracy on it isn't that bad anyway.IronTeapot wrote:I used to subscribe to that school of thought but I've found especially when the heat has turned up that it's better to have more firepower for the squad if there's room to fire. Gyro and mag harness are essential as a medic so you can get those T1's and T2's to fuck off from your critted patients.
Nothing scares a xeno player more than a one tile cuckshot that stuns on top of that.

Ancient prae is powerful as hell but it's sloooooow, big and honestly very easy to take down. Ancient spitters can move decently fast, spit as fast a machine gun, crawl in vents and dodge. But this idea should really be implented, I doubt it though since majority of Queen manager suggestions haven't been looked at/implented.

Re: Your most salty moments here!
Earlier today I shot a mature crusher 20 times, mostly in the chest, with AP ammo. It got hit twice by normal assault rifle bullets as well. Damn thing survived. I was incredibly salty I couldn't claim my first crusher kill. I even screenshooed the logs to put into my "regret" folder.

Re: Your most salty moments here!
Why are you using AP, AP merely tickles.
The only way to take down a Crusher as of current date is to rush it with buckshot shotguns.
Every other method requires luck and stupidity on the Crushers side.

I joined the game like 5 minutes before the Aliens crashed onto the Almayer. I had no idea I'd be facing off against a crusher so soon. Plus I hate tight spaces and buckshot shotguns when i'm surrounded by a million marines. One buckshot FF can ruin someone's day.

Recently, a medic decided to drag me on a rollerbed straight into enemy territory, then get slashed up and leave me to die rather than taking me to evac

My saltiest moments are when I play req and command literally ignores req comms and is complete dog shit. So either I get no orders, or when I send stuff down, it's never used to its maximum capacity.

It's worse when that's combined with a CO who bans attachments, so you literally can't help anyone at all.Andkert wrote:My saltiest moments are when I play req and command literally ignores req comms and is complete dog shit. Re: Your most salty moments here!
Well, a dude was suppressing aliens who were not even on the screen with buckshot. He stopped for few seconds, I walked inside the barricades, he buckshot pointblank me. I insult him and bash him with a riot shield, then he shoots a burst into me.
Then admins said it was proper escalation. Lol.
High salt moment. I guess I had a proper signature few days afterward.

I've seen ban appeals for people did exactly what that guy did.
