You don't need attachments, buck up. You don't need grenades. If you have a rifle and fellow marines, you can beat aliens if your competent and have a reaction time quicker than a snails shell.

I mean we don't need CAS, it's removing an entire element of a marines gameplay for the sake of a CO wanting to piss people off or have marines deployed in single digits time.

As a player who plays a support role as Standard, in which I try to carry extra equipment for Medics/Engineers, no, the backpack is non-negotiable to me, and not being able to quickly access it, especially with my own personal lag, makes it difficult to effectively play that role.

I /don't/ need helmets, don't know why you would bring those up? They were useless before, except to catch a bullet, in which you were most likely just shot again anyways. The only purpose they serve anymore, is the SO's helmet camera, and I don't really give a fuck about the SO being able to see, since I stay near my SL.

C'mon man, be real for a minute. It takes two more seconds to access a backpack. Boohoo. The fuck are you carrying in there that is so essential you can't get it out in those extra 2 seconds without being seriously inconvenienced.

I re-read your post. You play as standard? Oh dear. You can't access your smokes and cards as fast as you could before. If you played medic, SL or spec I might have some respect for your argument. But standard? Get the fuck out of here with your melodramatic bullshit. Also "support standard" please. What are you carrying that is so goddamn important? An entrenching tool? "Oh God we're all dying. If only those sandbags were filled 2 seconds earlier we would all be saved."

First off, how about you stop being a fucking prick? It's a thread meant to express your opinions and experiences with the update, as I've been doing.

Second off, when medics and Engineers have been playing all round, and it comes to the point I need to start dashing between my Medic and Engineer to hand them their shit, during combat, it gets a little hard to swap between my backpack and rifle, with the equip delay for firing, and again, my own personal lag, because I have less than stellar internet.

God forbid I ever have a SADAR Spec who needs my help carrying all his rockets and in the middle of combat I have to swap between my rifle and backpack to throw him rockets. Before this update, I was already getting killed for being slow about it.

I apologize Stamos.I don't tolerate people being snarky to me like that however, when I'm just trying to give honest feedback. I've already posted about all I can in this thread anyways, nothing I can say now anyone else hasn't.
