Weather you like him or not you have to admit that Bill gets into 10x more wacky RP scenarios than the average CM player. Over the past couple of weeks I've seen him:

Feed the XO who he had an IC falling out with to a xeno queen that was being held in research.

During an infection round he managed to convince most of command and medical that he was immune and that his blood was the cure. (It turns out he never even got hit.) he even injected his fellow PO buddy who WAS infected with his blood... didn't work.

Escape a UPP assault via escape pod as the last surviving marine (still in his CO uniform) by putting on some UPP armor and just walking out.

As CL he sold numerous marines Weyland-Yutani stocks, then once the planet was lost he claimed the stock price had hit 0 and used our own money to buy freelancers that eventually took over the CIC.

Last night there was that whole permabrig missile/fan fiction fiasco... I was alive for most of that round so I didn't see what happened till pretty late.

I'm sure the cult of personality around him helps him pull a lot of these off, but still it's impressive how he manages to almost always find a way to get himself into some sort of situation every round. When I first started playing here I fucking haaaaated Carson. He ordered us to drop onto already lost LZs and whenever I died and spectated him he was either in disposals or welded into a pod, still giving out orders and calling marines cowards. It took me awhile to realize that's just the character he plays. Don't get me wrong, it still boils my blood when I fight my way to the pods during a hopeless Almayer defense only to find that in order to discourage cowardice Carson has ordered all the pods welded shut (with himself inside one.) However, now when this happens I realize it's the character Carson and (hopefully) not a sadistic player. Either way whenever I see "Commander Bill Carson on Deck" I know I'm in for a ride.
