Now before I go on with this, This is gonna sound like a rant and be a giant blob of text. I want to state prior that I attempted to communicate with the Moderator at the time that I would like to give my side of the story, and was straight refused. I don't know if this is a normal policy here, but I would at least like to be able to get my word into a situation if it is being pinned against me.
Now I was told I metagamed during this situation, I will agree I gave the mod a bit of an attitude, however I kept myself professional and just tried to express to him that I should be given a chance to explain my side of the story, but was denied because I told him my explanation was gonna be an essay about the events that occured to lead me into the choices I had made.
Now, We were mid round, I was a Pilot Officer just doing Transport on Drop Ship 1. I had struggled because it was my first time on Pilot Officer, and I was starting the round solo so they dropships werent fully prepared when they should of been. Part way through the round when transporting Marines back to the ship, one of them actually exploded into a Worm. The other marines quickly gunned it down. In no way did I attempt to say it was Xenos, I stated over my command radio that there was a worm that exploded from one of the Marine's Bodies. I went to Medical Channel after that asking if one would like to come pick the worm up to do some kind of research on it since it was a foreign creature. Going later into the round we had about 4 Pilot Officers at this time, Two operating CAS, Two operating Transport. Eliot Whiteman and I worked Transport. DS1 had to be sent down for a medevac I believe at the time and so Eliot quickly took the ship and left while I prepared to add sentries to the ship because I mistakenly didnt know about them prior.. So Eliot goes down to LZ1, In which Comms begins blowing up the LZ1 is hot and being overrun, Eventually Eliot stops communicating over comms. This begins worrying me, and another Pilot Officer Sean Evans. We begin making attempts to contact Eliot, and try using the terminals to bring Drop Ship 1 back so that we could check it. Drop Ship 1 never came back, It showed in transit but my Pilot Sean Evans kept saying it wouldn't work and that our controls to the ship had been disabled. From this point I contacted Medical asking for the condition of Eliot Whiteman, I was quickly told by at least 2 medical personnel that Eliot Whiteman was dead. Where was Eliots last known location before being slaughtered? (The Medics did tell me it was severe brute damage if that helps at all) He was at LZ1 last he talked to us being being killed, Saying that DS1 and LZ1 were lost. At this point I believed I had more than enough evidence through roleplay in the round to figure something was wrong and I should say something. After all, Logically the coordinates to our ship are programmed into the Drop Ship as it has the Autopilot feature, So by that nature if someone takes the ship over we should assume that they have the coordinates to our ship, as well as our drop pod taken over to transport to our ship. I informed my team over the command channel that I felt like we should make some kind of preperation while we continuously work on transporting Dropship 1 back to the ship. Just about the entire time we asked them to help us, we were attempting to resecure drop ship 1.
In my honest opinion, I do not believe I was metagaming. I believe I had experienced more than enough through roleplay in that round and specifically during the moment of time, to gather the knowledge to believe something is wrong.
Now while I do not think the Mod did wrong by punishing me, I do believe the mod should of at least taken my story instead of saying he would mute me if I attempted to explain himself and used the excuse he was helping 3 other people, as a way to push my away and not allow me to have a word.
I was absolutely ready to grab some screenshots of our conversation through PMs in which he denied me any word on it, and threatened to mute me for attempting to explain my reasoning behind a situation. The moderators name was Driecg36. Seemed like a nice guy, But didnt want to listen to both stories to a situation that led to some form of punishment.
First post on your forum, Sorry if its so long and seem spammy, But I felt like I needed to actually get my word out about it. I dont know how often I'll end up checking at this either since I dont play that much, But I do quite enjoy the server. I wanted to attempt to explain it to the moderator himself but he refused to take my story, threatened to mute me, and sent me to the forum. So here I am.
EDIT: By straight refusal of my story, I am meaning. He came on after a Mentor called him apparently, Immediately told me I was in trouble without even giving a chance to explain myself, in which I tried to step in and say I should be allowed to tell my story and I even gave him prior notice that it would take me a little time to type as I wanted to explain the entire situation to him. In which since it was gonna be such a long string of text for me to explain my story, I was denied.

"I do not think the mod did wrong by punishing me"
"I didn't metagame"
Fuckin what? Those are two completely contradictory statements.
Also, it's should have, never should of. That's not important.... but still.

Re: Questionable metagame rule
Sup, Eliot here.
I was banned for something like this and didn't want to make the mistake again and I think an issue is lack of clarity between staff, for instance when I was an SO I was looking through a helmet cam next to the DS I witnessed the aliens call down the DS and board it. This was after I was banned so I ahelped to see if this was enough evidence and Kavlo told me yes it was, checked to make sure what I said was clear and yes so I called for them to fortify. The issue comes when either in this round or one of the rounds after this I watched aliens board the shuttle as a PO and checked with JayBurns who quoted Apop saying that the non human alarm must go off first.
I think eye-witness to the aliens boarding really should provide enough evidence to begin fortifications but only eye witness, ooh spoopy dropship go missing is defo meta.

Re: Questionable metagame rule
This is the classic definition of meta-gaming.
You can say the ship is gone and you can say xenos are onboard.
You do not know they can get up or fly.
