I think the general idea of it is in a perfect place, i.e. they don't have specific spots that get hurt, they heal rather rapidly.

Xenos need the advantage, if they became more fragile in the health department surely they'd need an armor buff (and they don't need that!)

They're supposed to be menacing, powerful and stronger than the average marine. Hell, in the movies one xeno was considered a huge threat and it was often a drone.

It would be nice for the acid blood to become more of an issue, as it is now it just gives marine boots a nice green tint and that's about it, a bleeding mechanic wouldn't be unwelcome.
