I think the Prison Station map is pretty dope. I enjoyed the map a lot it just needs a couple of fixes, and some tweaking than it's ready for true game play.

Man, I got stuck in the LZ for pretty much the whole round, but seeing by the cams of the security, can tell it is a gigantic and pretty looking map.

Don't like it. Lags the server pretty hard even from just round start. Running from marines/xenos is awkward because you might find some random blast door that ruins your day. Feels like a giant maze. 2/5

You know, the lag was because the server was full with 160+ players.

Also, it's a prison station...what you expected? Gotta keep it nice and tidy.

People don't really know where anything is yet so when that clears up I think the map will be solid.


I still want to know if the pirate sentries shoot marines because if they do and aliens don't destroy them that's five sentries just waiting there for them to use.

Pirate Sentries do shoot marines, and they shoot Xenomorphs as well.

I like the maze feel and the atmosphere of the map overall. Lot better with less players and makes the game more about ambushes than big battles like the ones we have on LV at the river...unless you sit in the FOB at LZ1. Feels more like the movie than the other maps imo.

Daedalus Prision is back? FINAAALLY, after two years of putting the map on a fridge it's back

The atmosphere is a 10/10 and I love the maze that the map is. I think it could be made dirtier and more chaotic, like after a riot happened

I think C4 is going to see a lot more use on this map than any other map we have.

It, in my experience, is a very deadly map what with how tight it is. I feel lowpop would work well here, considering you don't need as many marines than on more open maps.

However, I have yet to play enough games to TRULY get a feel for it. I only got to play a single game as a grunt, and it was a clusterfuck. Maybe with time we'll get the hang of things, and once a MAP is made, the map will be made a lot more enjoyable.

its crusher heaven

C4 or REALLY dedicated engineers is the only way to have a semblance of fun gameplay on this map

literally watched two crushers absolutely demolish entire squads in tight corridors that they couldn't flank due to the hive being situated in tight corridor hell (perma brig)

this place has the strongest of all lz1 defences

and due to the way with space and stuff theres nowhere to bypass or sneak around for xenos, the only option is to fight them head on up close

but yeah marines get fucked up going out there lmao

LZ-1 on Ice Colony had one of the best LZ-1 defenses ever, but Prison Station is beating that record now.

Watching the LZ-1 defense hold for an hour even against TWO queens and multiple T3's was amazing.

A engineers wet dream honestly.

I found interesting the implementation of notes by the prison of Daedalus, besides that also I liked the "architecture" of the map. Again, on the notes, they allow and open up more possibilities of role-playing.

One of the things I noticed and I found intriguing was the several dark corridors of the map, which gives a more "Alien" feeling.

Even though the map is great, I think an improvement in the organization of the Dedalus departments would leave the map perfect.

I loved the weird way it was both tight, but with an Engi and some C4 you could make inroads through areas. EG three marines and I were cut off and being murdered in the kitchen, Engi blows up the wall, rushes in, saves me and two others we revived, then we get back to the LZ and begin the long brutal fight to get pushed back. Like the map greatly!

Though once people know it more I'm sure we'll see more of its quirks come out, or issues get ironed out.

I'd disagree, in fact I feel its relatively weak. All you have to do to break it as Xeno is melt the bathroom walls left of LZ1 with a boiler, and then you have a clear shot all the way to the Alamo. The only way to win on this map is by being aggressive and use the tight space against the xenos who will body block the shit out of each other allowing for easy kills with nades, and flamethrowers(which are AMAZING on this map).

id personally disagree with your disagreement, quite a lot ive seen LZ1 FOB'S hold out for just under 2 hours under constant siege without falling, and marines using that opportunity to call in some great CAS and OB's. sometimes, the aliens have pushed so hard against these FOB, that theyve exhausted themselves on it, and lost the round
