solution to the infection problem
The current issue with infection is starting it, a solution to this could be that 1 or more of the initial survivors is actually a WY synthetic that caused the initial outbreak. They would basically act as an antagonist with their main goal being to infect and investigate the effects of the black goo on the marines.

Re: solution to the infection problem
I'm getting Alien: Covenant vibes from this idea as well. It doesn't always have to start with Wey-Yu or their Synths. And Snype's right... most people who play on CM, aside from the ones who are active here, are not very inclined to RP or interact with another person and they'd rather murderbone them, especially if it's allowed.

Re: solution to the infection problem
the point would be the synth would be in disguise as a human survivor and would not be able to be spotted by being examined. Killing the synth outright on arrival would then be considered metagaming.

Re: solution to the infection problem
more like the synthetic would murderbone entire marine squads ez pez
can we trust the playerbase with a random chance at a role that can self heal, never technically die unless *beep* and able to use weapons (since antag)?
probably not

Re: solution to the infection problem
Unfortunately, Snype is right. Players can barely contain themselves when they see a simple human, imagine when they see a synth.
