I think it's close enough to be able to post this.

Hello everyone. Newer faces won't recognize me and older faces either just got giddy or groaned with enough sodium chloride to stand fast against the Atlantic.

Whichever catagory you fall in, I just wanted to make this post to say hello again or maybe just hello in general if you don't know me.

To explain my absence, I went off and enlisted in the US Army National Guard as an 11B (infantryman) and I've been at basic training since late May. I gradute September 8th and after some IRL greetings with my family and few living friends left, I'll be back on CM, hopefully on a regular basis.

I want to bring up now that I fully intend to continue my streak of keeping a short leash on any cunty behavior, minus the occasional slip since we're all human and those things happen once in a while. I know older staff either laugh this kind of thing off or ignore it entirely but I want to say now before I even fully return to the community as an active member that I don't intend to return and stir shit, fall back to old habits, or start drama.

One thing I can promise is that I'm already stepping back into a civilian world, which will be strange enough, but I'm coming back to a community that has new faces and almost a new game from the one I left. If you knew me before and I'm either uneasy or awkward now, bear with me. I still consider the people I once knew here friends and even returning as what feels like a completely different person, I'll still stick around and chat up the people that want to talk.
