Do you guys ever get bored of CM? If so, why?

Just curious. I find that playing the same roles, castes or just not switching sides every now and then makes you get bored pretty fast.

I get bored at times, and take around a week breaks at times, but in my current internet situation, I try to play CM as much as possible.

I love CM, and I play it often. I can get bored of it at times, and in that case I take a week break just like Enceri. I love CM though, and I love the community (most of it). I became a Mentor to get more involved in the community, and I think the RP in certain rounds can really spice up the rounds.

I force myself to take breaks to prevent the monotony of it. I find going through the same routine of pretending to not know what the aliens are gets a little stale after a few go arounds, and taking a break really makes you get itching to play again.

Been playing regularly almost daliy for something like 5 months almost? Never really been bored though there have been a fair number of dull days, but it comes back around the next usually.

Everyone gets burnt out from time to time, I'll occasionally take a day or two off just to unwind and reset my brain.

After you've done the above, read a xenomorph or predator comic. It makes me want to play again.

Personally I've found that being staff helps keep me into things. If I don't feel like playing a role, I can find entertainment by just ghosting around and making sure all the players are having fun, watching LOOCs for people who seem like they need help, showing griffers my nice hammer.

Since I'm one of the very few consistent late-night mods, I'll usually at least keep the game open in the background and listen for bwoinks when things go to hell and AHelps flood in so that way you guys have someone to keep an eye out for you, even if it's mostly when you need help. Playing Synthetic hasn't really gotten old for me because of how flexible I can be in a round, I can be engineering one minute, overwatching the next, then doctoring as needs arise. Hoping my Predator app goes well for one more thing I can have fun with as well.

I guess you could say my way of handling the monotony is a bit unique.

I find myself bored sometimes as a result of the streamlining of the round narrative.

It never really diverges outside of the norm during a non-event round, I get that we're going for a certain experience but it couldn't hurt to add randomized event chance (Sabotage, random ship boarders, infections etc) to the round to spice things up outside admin intervention.

Before anyone mentions balance, it's supposed to be about the experience not about who wins.

CM takes up a lot of my ss13 playtime, but sometimes it gets repetitive, very monotonous. New gamemodes like Infection and Tribes will help a lot with that, but until then you got to settle with the base game everyone's played for three years.
