Laws of War
Hello, this is a quick discussion about how to not commit war crimes and try to make a better RP during Human Conflicts events.
1º - Just engage combatents
Okay i know it's hard for you to know where to shoot when bullets are coming from everywhere, but civilians are not combatents and shooting on then not only is a waste of ammo, but it's a unecessary death in the battlefield.
2º - Accept surrenders
When a combatent is surrendering you have too accept it, because not only prisioners are good to get their gear, information and use then as trade coin for your comrades that have being captured, but they too are not fighting you, many combatents on the Front and the Marines are people that fight for a cause but don't want to die on a lost battle, and if you accept surrender from enemys they can show the same treatment when they find you, bleeding on the snow.
3º - Treat woundeds
Always treat woundeds, don't matter the side they are still humans and if you are a wounded being treated by the enemy just surrender, because if they can close cuts, they can open many more.
4º - No rape, torture or make collection of bodyparts.
YOU ARE A SOLDIER NOT A FUCKING RAIDER, BUTCHER, RELIGIOUS EXTREMIST FIGHTER OR A PSYCHO!!
5º - Don't use enemy uniform
When you are engaging your life is not only on your hands but on the hands of those that you fight side by side, in conflict the same way you trust your comrades to protect your 6, the enemy does the same and even if you are the worse enemys on the galaxy at least respect the uniform and don't give a reason for your friend put you down. If you need to disguise as a enemy soldier to be a effective combatent, congratulations you are a failure as a soldier and as a human being.
Well this is it, i'm seending this rules of engagement to the Colonial Liberation Front and the USCM high commands and waiting for their approval about these law of war, with death penalty.

Re: Laws of War
I wish my captors knew this shit before eating my friend's still beating heart in Space 'Nam.
That night I found a taste in human flesh, you can say I ate my way out of that hell.
But did I deserved to escape?
Do monters deserve a chance?

1. Peace through superior firepower.
2. Air superiority.
3. Supply lines are vital to mission success.
4. The sons of defeated enemies will one day grow up and seek vengeance. End the line.
5. A bullet is the cheapest insurance available to you. One in the chest and one in the head guarantees the enemy does not rise again.
6. Torture is useful. Torturing subjects loved ones is more useful. Even a loyal soldier will betray their king to protect their children or loved ones.
7. Mercy is a weakness.
8. Rules of Engagement only allow the enemy to strike first.

6. Don't do unnecessary damage to accomplish your goal. The goal must justify the damage done.getfreur wrote: ↑09 Sep 2017, 11:39Hello, this is a quick discussion about how to not commit war crimes and try to make a better RP during Human Conflicts events.

Can't be a war crime if there's no physical evidence left over.

Can't be a war crime if the guys in charge of the lore don't draft up a basic version of the Space Geneva Convention.

Geneva Convention applies not only to earth but for war in general.
