There is a weedkiller chemicalbut its recipe has been disabled as far as I can tell. If you want super-duper weedkiller grenades, you need to return spray bottles of weedkiller to the chemistry lab where the enterprising chemist can duplicate it if they know what they are doing.
I imagine that you can probably make a weedkiller foam that would do a decent job.
As to everything else you've said, you try rolling no armour some time and see how well that goes. Broken bones are all threshold based and armour reduces the damage of each bullet hitting you. I mean, have you forgotten what armour-piercing rounds did to you already? They didn't do any more damage than regular rounds, they just ignored armour. In fact, they did less damage.
If you got hit with a burst of AP to the chest, you'd get splintered rib and maybe a lung or heart puncture. If you get hit with a burst of standard bullets, maybe you get a fractured rib if you are unlucky.

FF can be 50% avoided.
You are being FFed, because you HERE, at YOUR PRECISE LOCATION, for being FFed.
If you don't pay attention to the marines 2 tiles away from you who started shooting before you move, you deserved it. If you move in front of a M56, you deserved it. If you can't see that the battlefield is a bloody mess at some point and you want to get closer to the front, look if there are no marines who took a firing stance away from you and you might get in their line of fire ? You deserved it.
The other 50% are rather due to trigger discipline. Know where to shoot and when to do it.

I don't see problem with the perfect unbalance. The game is designed that way to make the marines suffer. But at least, when they win it, they deserve it.
To win, the marines either have to not do shitty mistakes, or they have to exploit aliens mistakes. Dragging your wounded fellas outta the field, covering your mates, ensuring a kill by providing additionnal firesupport, cover a flank when the squad is progressing, pointing at direction where danger is or if there is an interest in there. Those shitty details make the difference.
Tactics and gambles : overextending can offer opportunies to hunt aliens, but you also become more vulnerable to a focused attack by one or several xenos. Flanking is a good option, but if you get countered, you can suffer heavy losses. All depends on a good acting SL that knows what he is doing AND can inspire people to follow him.
Having dickheads thinking the SL title is all they need to be obeyed often lead squads to being dismantled or getting killed. Being SL = having leadership skills or attitude to : give orders, ensure orders are followed.
The game is well designed, it just needs people using their brains to ensure the op is doing well.

You get broken bone regardless of how many bullets you take, armor only works slightly; yes there is a small chance you won't get bones broken and is adequately good and blocking brute bullet damage but in turn a major drawback in speed which is more important than all forms of defense (SS13 Wise)Bronimin wrote: ↑10 Oct 2017, 03:20There is a weedkiller chemicalbut its recipe has been disabled as far as I can tell. And in fact I do die (sometimes) when I go armor less because FF is so common and as I keep saying everywhere FF is 75% of why marines are dying or injured, no one can aim and aiming is shit, everyone wants to shoot and no one can listen/ communicate especially in mid combat like how real military personnel can, When you talk while there is a lot of gunfire your words would be missed 80% of the time unless spammed. The military effectiveness of the real world does not apply to this game, this game is a cynical strange science rule bounded game where some things make sense and others is just ludicrous.
Lastly, I never seen anyone make or use weed killer but I have seen one grenade of it in lambda but I never got to use it because I forget I pick it up...

Re: This game is a flawed masterpiece and it's terrifying!
I don't know why people keep mentioning the unbalance but like I said, I like the unbalance don't change it but setting win rates is some bad game design. Example marines are given the un-advantage on the battle field to the killing machines known as xenos but say... the marines find a new tactic out to defeat the xeno like a hidden route to their hive and start winning more and more but flanking their hive, the devs will in turn not let the xenos adapt to the tactic and become better but will remove a marines ability that is allowing the marine to be victorious.Kesserline wrote: ↑10 Oct 2017, 04:44FF can be 50% avoided.

So basically everytime a marine gets good, they lose something to make them bad again, or the xenos gain a new mechanic that allows them to surpass the marines' well thought out tactic.
It's like institutional racism with species. (lol)
Oh, and also like I said and you backed up... " they have to exploit aliens mistakes" You say which like I said earlier we are at the xenos will, only way we can win if is the xenos let us, hence being horrible players or not even playing for real.
Because we all know a marine cannot kill a good xeno.
You cannot drag out an ally without getting pounced.
You cannot chase a injured xeno without getting pounced in the dark or ganked.
Xenos are mechanically superior there is not enough planning that can ensure your victory.
And for FF, I got shot standing still. Idk how though.

This game is a multiplayer rogue like.
To give you the idea, it's like a diamond with a shape of an ass.
Yep, it's an ass, it can smell, it farts at your face, you don't really want to use it a pillow.
But yet, it's fucking unique, precious, it brights with fucking lots of details and some mechanics.
It is not shaped that way by the Karma, it was decided. It is not the common CoD-diamond with the 2 sides being balanced and generic as fuck. Nah, it's an ass and has to be that way to keep the depth and ensures drama-war-RP.
