Role playing the shitty undesirable stuff.

I know the server is not meant to be heavy role play but i sometimes do wonder where i should draw the line.
Ive been trying to find a balance between role playing pain and suffering and not irritating people too much, id like some feedback from you guys.
My experiences have shown positive reactions in a few ways. When on the field and being treated by a medic i seem to get small but enjoyable banter out of the medics if i act scared or dissoriented and as far as i can tell my side of it often seems to be either apreciated or apropriate if not both.
When i am in medbay and its starting to look more like a morgue i have been trying to act like im suffering if it seems apropriate and im kinda unclear if im doing a shit job or not. I know some waiting room banter between patients is enjoyable for most but im often tempted to ham up the pain just to let the doctors know i havent developed ssd. I feel like that is taking to far for sure, but on the other hand if you are drifting in and out of conciousness or are about to burst it seems kind of lazy to not do something. Its wierd to see a field of injured people all laying motionless, often paralyzed from pain, just quietly hoping they are next. Id really like to know what you guys think about this topic.
Personaly i find it usefull to make myself knoticed by being chatty or otherwise trying to play the part but i wonder what the busy and often silent doctors think about this.

When I see a Queen scream I type in "AHHHHHHHHH!!!" and when im in pain crit I type in stuff like "urg... it hurts... oh god..." a lot so medics will notice me. Thats about 70% of my casual RP on this server.

Yesturday i walked out of the OR and realized something wasnt right. I gave myself a scan and was informed everything was a ok except for the brain damage, the doctor must have been new im thinking. I proceeded to walk around the ship rping my damaged brain. I felt uncomfotable with the reactions i got. Nobody could have casualy suspected i had brain damage in game but it felt like most people thought it was a real life issue with my brain meats. Im not eager to do it again

I occasionally like to say disorientated embarrassing stuff when I'm in medbay and have been blacking out from pain or other reasons. I don't do it too often to keep it fresh, but it usually gives the docs and medics a laugh.

i wish that *scream were separated into *fearscream and *painscream because sometimes you *scream and get a sound clip that isnt quite correct for what you wanted to do

I don't think anyone can discredit you for making an attempt at higher roleplay, it's not like you're going to be called a nerd. If anyone calls you a dork then they don't realize they're playing on 2d spessman pretending to be a marine in a science fiction setting. We're all dorks. If you feel like your character would shriek out in pain, by all means do it.

When I'm playing anything on the ground I tend to talk incessantly, I feel like my character would cope in difficult situations with comedy. Sometimes people get irritated, but that's also kind of the point. This guy is making the situation worse by making light of it, but it adds to the whole experience.

I find myself and other Marines are quite talkative when in pain crit.

I always try to RP when I'm in injured. Not only does it immerse me into the game, but it helps me stand out to the medics and doctors.

I once got my hand blew off by admnis for dabbing and Roleplayed legit 10 minutes running around, shooting medbay and screaming God had forfeitted me.

I got checked by a doctor just so I could stop screaming. That was a cool RP for me.

As a medic I like when people are playing it up, but I don't always have time for much more than "Drugs will kick in in a sec, get back out there!" and move onto the next bag of hamburger I have to turn into a marine again.
