What happened to the PVP events?

Post by dannykz » 18 Nov 2017, 23:54

I haven't seen a PVP event in almost 3 weeks, is it just me, or are the admins not doing them anymore? I sure miss playing as CLF and picking off straggling marines from the cover of the darkness.

Oh, and I don't mean like small skirmishes with PMCs or UPP, I mean like a full-scale event.

you do know that those PVP events take a lot of work to do, right?

They aren't gonna be common. It all depends on if the staff feel up for it and have time for one.

When they come, they will come. Until then, enjoy the company of xenos... Because one you fight things that shoot back, you'll miss when all you had to worry about was being pounced.
Sometimes, bravery comes from the most unlikely sources.

Never said anything about it not being a lot of work to do, just asked if they had stopped doing them as I haven't seen one in a while.
To be honest, xenos got kind of boring after playing against them for hundreds of rounds, I'd rather play against humans as they can actually communicate with you and there are waaay more options for RP and different strategies to deal with them, just my opinion though.

I feel that the events could be better advertised ahead of time to ensure that people can get on.

I usually do one every weekend, possibly tomorrow afternoon EST time.

Issue with these vents is you have to be awake for them, living in the opposite timezone of the people running events means you'll rarely see them, as is my case.

Would be nice if they had their own special gamemodes, to make it easier on staff and have them be more frequent
Player of faceless xenomorphs of the species XX121, Miranda 'Mira' Laporte, Daniel Gryphon, Kia and Akl'iiya Quatza-rij
Proudly played as and won a round as an Ancient Empress

They probably will eventually, but that needs to be fleshed out and tested/balanced/written. Plus, it would need to be compatible with all the maps.
