laze swords/light sabres?

Heyo dudes. Last round I played this past weekend seemed pretty typical. Marines were forced back to the nexus but rallied with the help of some effective obs and cas.
We pushed the aliens back to hydro and medical and in the process of clearing that out I saw marines with laze cutlasses and laze swords?
One marine wielding one got hugged so I picked his up and promptly murdered the crap out of an alien. It was like cutting butter with a hot knife.
WHERE DID THESE COME FROM?

are they predator weapons or specialized for a single round or?... it's got me curious.

It was likely an admin event where those weapons were spawned, either directly or through mobs.

Admin only. Predators do not get these. Energy swords are worthless in CM anyway.
