You could technically and it would still fall into Rp rules. Your character is scared who knows. For other strategic ways to survive, is to find everyone and gather up some where. And that’s just about it. No guarantee that you will survive. Maybe just go around with a shotgun and hope no one sees you while you keep moving.

Sometimes, Snowflakes are not needed, but this one keeps pushing the fact.

You can, but be adviced, xenos tend to check lockers and stuff.

Other strategy? Hide in plain sight

The locker method is terrible.

You're best bet on making it out alive is either splitting off from the survivors and making a really obscure Base in the middle of nowhere.

Or group with the survivors.

I suggest you avoid lockers and stuff.

You could either hide in plain sight (under a dead body or something like that) or my specialty hiding inside garbade disposal.

Hiding in disposals sometimes works better, but tbh I feel like just hiding is a waste, no fun for anyone

Make it up! Maybe you're a hardass take no shit survivor with an attitude, maybe you're so frightened you stutter even the simplest words, maybe you're CLF and cause a shootout with the marines!

Survivor is a very open ended RP character where you can choose to be Whatever you want within rules and reason. If you spawn as a prisoner you don't have to be a prisoner, but you can't be a doctor because you don't have the training to use the tools.

If you choose to antag be sure to keep it fun and RPable, as that's the most enjoyable and the most within the rules. Just remember that marines can shoot you without repercussions if you give them a reason to, and without armor you'll really feel their bullets.

I've played as an extremely traumatised and mentally damaged survivor with an vehement hate of the color green and a phobia of the dark. But yeah survivor is extremely open ended, You could be a PMC, CLF, WY, UPP. Just about anything reasonable you can think of.
Image I play Fred Majun/formerly Alfred Stafford/Majun

Lockers are a last resort if you can't find a good defensive position and/or find some buddies (YMMV). Friends are great if you want to stay alive.
I play as Robert 'Scotch' MacMillan.
And Anton. Don't forget about Anton.
