I swear this has actually been my reaction on other servers.

Honestly the CM staff team is one of the most tightly run ships i've seen on SS13. Strict but if you follow the rules you'll be fine.

I occasionally play Yog, and also wonder where the jail is. How are you going to maintain order if you don't actively run an efficient gulag?

Right, it's good at short range, but Smartgun ammo is always in short supply. I can't see the reason to use it even faster just for better effectiveness at close quarters. Smartgun+BC is the god gun though.
