What keeps you going?

I went on a binge of playing CM. But I'm kinda wearing out really fast, so what keeps all of you going?

Rest. If you are tired of playing - STOP NOW. This is how I got banned on a server I really liked and I was mentor on

Don't repeat my mistakes.

For me it is currently doing investigations for appeals and permabans

Chill out on the forum, take a break, comeback in a week or two.

Maybe get that gym membership you always wanted.

I tend to take breaks when I get tired of being called a slut for handing out attachments. It helps keep the game fresh when I come back.
Player of Rain Winterson and Winter Silverson.

Not terribly robust, but will give runners bananas.

When burnout is bubblin' up, usually take a passive role on the ship, such as CMP, CE, or MT. If it continues, take a break for a month or two to play something else and relax, such as warframe.

If you are going through a burnout, just take a break. A good break is a good fix. Alot of players that say they are leaving good usually come back after a month or 2.

Well I do hope to see rain again at her usual job eventually, but breaks are good and useful when you’ve worn out on the game.

I agree, take a break from the server if you feel yourself worn out. Then come back and relax from all that’s gone on while you’ve been away.

I keep playing because I enjoy the unique experience I get each round I do play. Also making relationships with other players keeps the game enjoyable.

If I notice you, good job. It means you're probably worth my time.

Very good question. When I resigned from mentor back in August 2017, I also stopped playing CM. I had gotten bored of CM. After all, I had been playing since April 2016. After that, I played a few different SS13 servers, but then, I just got bored of SS13 as a whole. I've been playing this game since 2014, and after awhile, I just got bored of it all. If you think about it, everything is practically the same. If you play on a server, it will eventually stop being fun because rounds will start repeating themselves, with the same scenarios playing out over and over again. Anyway, back to the question. I would say that taking a break would probably be the easiest solution, even though it isn't really helping for me. Maybe I'm just permanently burned out from SS!#. I mean, I won't not play some rounds on some servers, but just not as much as I used to.
