never forget to close the plasteel cade behind you unless there's someone else coming
it may be simple but a lot of people fail to do it and it really does cost them

If you see a raveger (big Red) they can one shot cut your head off or injure you to the point you cant get up with one hit and drag you off. If you see one and there isn't someone who can save you right next to you then run away.
If theres charging aliens stand near a corner so you can sidestep if one starts charging

You can resist out of chairs. Do this on the dropship instead of accidentally shooting yourself/someone else.

In order:
Defib (they probably die), drugs, defib again, then splint. If you splint a dead guy, you're wasting time.

Quick strategy to reduce the amount of defib charges is to toss in 1 dexalin and 1 innaprov durg in the corpse before defibing em, so if they revive they won't die to oxyloss.

I’m pretty sure mature and above can. Well, maybe Mature.

Re: Experienced Knowledge Thread
Queens cannot stomp prone Marines while charging like a crusher can, so if you're in a narrow corridor and hear her coming, quickly hit rest. She may just screech at you anyways, but hey.
Aiming for the groin has the same chance to hit a xeno as the chest, but has less vital organs if you accidentally FF. A damaged liver will only give a marine a slow toxin build-up that, while annoying, is easy to treat.
Specs, SLs, SOs, XOs and COs have enough engineering knowledge to build cades, while the XO and CO can actually repair and maintain the Almayer's engines like the MTs can.
As a xeno in a sketchy area or hunting marines, tease the 'toggle darkness' button on the right side of your HUD to get an idea of where marines might be without risking them spotting you. Even in well-lit areas you can detect them by seeing how the tiles change shading as they move.
The 30 minute bioscan does not detect xenos that are in the vents, either planetside or shipside. Don't let your guard down until that kill is confirmed!
If you're not assigned a squad at round-start or through the appropriate consoles, don't even try using an orbital beacon. Looking at you, ground SOs.
The tank's snowplow module can effectively stunlock xenos for long periods of time, making it a decent choice even on maps that aren't Ice Colony.

The nade that you first loaded on your UGL is the one that is going to be launched first
this can be useful to set up some kind of nade combo like normal nade first then incendiary.

Re: Experienced Knowledge Thread
Spooky, you are a dev and all, and should know better this than me, but on a recent round (the night of 05/28-29) I took a single damage hit during all round, in the form of a ravager slash. I'm checking my logs here:
Code: Select all
The Mature Ravager (442) slashes Lydia 'Synth' Tournier!
DEAD: Lydia 'Synth' Tournier says, "NOT AGAIN"
DEAD: Lydia 'Synth' Tournier says, "ONE HIT DECAP!"
DEAD: Lydia 'Synth' Tournier says, "WHYYY"
DEAD: Bloody Larva (720) says, "Lydia, you dieded again?"
DEAD: Lydia 'Synth' Tournier says, "Two rounds in a row I get one-hit decap'ed!"
DEAD: Camil Eerin says, "Lydia you got decapped again?"
Code: Select all
The Young Ravager (467) slashes Lydia 'Synth' Tournier!
You check yourself for injuries.
My chest is bruised.
My groin is OK.
My head is OK.
My left arm is OK.
My right arm is blistered.
My left leg is OK.
My right leg is OK.
My left hand is OK.
My right hand is blistered.
My left foot is battered.
My right foot is OK.

The Elite Queen roars!
The roar shakes your body to the core, freezing you in place!
CPL Elena 'Tofu' Mei says, "There, you'll be fine!"
Lydia 'Synth' Tournier is viciously shredded by the Young Ravager (467)'s sharp teeth!
CPL Elena 'Tofu' Mei screams!
DEAD: Antonia McAlister says, "I was going to try and set an OB"
CPL Elena 'Tofu' Mei says, "LYDIA OH SHIT!"
CPL Haley Altman says, "NOOOOO"
Young Ravager (467) hisses, "WOW"
CPL Haley Altman says, "NOOOOOO"
CPL Haley Altman says, "BASTARD"
LCPL Daniel 'Exo' Aye says, "HOLY CRAP!"
LCPL Daniel 'Exo' Aye huffs.
Elena 'Tofu' Mei has thrown Lydia 'Synth' Tournier's head.
DEAD: Lydia 'Synth' Tournier says, "Screech + one hit decap. Not lucky today."
(...)
DEAD: Haley Altman says, "I just."
DEAD: Haley Altman says, "I watched your head get torn off in one swipe"
DEAD: Haley Altman says, "then I run back"
DEAD: Lydia 'Synth' Tournier says, "It was screech + one hit decap"
DEAD: Haley Altman says, "then I get perma stunned by prae spit"
DEAD: Lydia 'Synth' Tournier says, "Little to be done about it"
(...)
DEAD: Elena 'Tofu' Mei says, "Also Lydia, that was the craziest decap I have ever seen"
DEAD: Elena 'Tofu' Mei says, "Actually made me freak out irl"
Both rounds with a helmet on and actually bothering other marines to wear them. Got laughed at quite a bit about it.

Don’t do this. Trust me. Groin armor is non-existent compared to Chest.Bath Salts Addict wrote: ↑06 Jun 2018, 13:41

RNJesus Tip: Decapitate chances work in mysterious ways. Young Runners have been known to decapitate 100% healthy marines in two swipes on occasion. I wouldn't rely on that chance under almost all circumstances.
I play Cosmo Rader, the intelligent man that rocks a good goatee. Usually play as Smartgunner, PO, and Carrier.

Wait since when has this been a thing? I don't recall it ever being on the changelog since a year ago, and I explicitly remember walking up to a marine slightly less than a year ago as a mature rav, slashing him one, and instant decapping him, and I know he had a helmet on.

Very useful info right here from experience
Be nice to the staff, they make sure you have a fun round when they ask you what you are doing don't respond with "YOWADDUP YOU TRYN TO STIR SHIT?"
Use a pickup taser/stunbaton macro when you are a MP it has saved my ass.
Turn off your light and hide in the shadows when it's HvH
