I actually have the opposite situation of OP's. It's worse when you have a crate prepped and ready but SL isn't planting an SB and SO isn't sending it. The points will continue to be wasted until the supplies in that crate get sent to the marines, and you can't help but yell at command to send it.

-Trying Spec from 1 year of not doing it, I target a ravager which causes heavy casualties, get shot 3 times by a Deltard with buckshot on the chest, dealing with infinite paincrit and easy host for aliens.

-Get told to fortify Engineering on LVL as Squad Engineer, get orders to move to Hydro and without materials by had been building earlier, leave all your defenses get melted by an Young Spitter without anyone guarding it.

Frustrating: When you are one of the few which actually reads the RoE rules which Command gave out upon Pred contact, they aint hostile, someone throws a nade at em and someone else steals their pet and then the SG comes and lights the pred up which leads to a SD which gibs 3-4 squad members and basically crits all of the rest of the squad.

Stressfull: Running away from a Defender which wants to tail-swipe. | Trying to fight off a Warrior and escape from its grasp. | Hiding in the corner of a boiler cloud cloaked as scout spec and being with the back against a wall.

Stressfull and frustrated at the same time is when you stumble upon the orbital beacon, and it just so happens that the SO fires at the same time you found the OB

People with minor injuries interrupting your attempts to save someone on the verge of perma death to fix their boo boo.

Having incompetent or SSD Corporals, pretty much meaning your squad will be smashed if you're doing anything than attaching to another squad.

Having a squad full of new people who are silent. Ill go in 4 xenos deep for any marine in my squad who makes the effort of at least talking once. But if you're a silent baldy who runs off, I find it hard to care.

If you're new and talk though, you get cutie points and everyone loves you.

Frustrating: getting a friendly round of buckshot in the back of the head.

Stressful: Turning a corner as a runner to see a whole company of marines ready to murica your ass / desperately trying not to be draged into darkness as a marine by your friendly local neighborhood beno / hearing a 'click' sound when running from a lurker/hunter.

I was a medic over the weekend, treating a marine who put himself into crit from alcohol poisoning at the bar FOB on Big Red. The rest of my squad was getting pushed back hard and I was about to go and back them up when I get DC'd because all the power goes out for an hour.

I later get a call that the outage was caused by "balloons that became entangled in the equipment that delivers power to your area".

Being a CO is both frustrating and stressful.

The Frustration comes from trying to lead your men the way you want them to, only for them to go completely against orders because it was outside their comfort zone or they didn't wanna stand around knowing there are xenos to kill. At times, you feel like no one is listening to you and acknowledging your tactics, which sucks because trying new ideas can be hard if not everyone is willing to listen to you, let alone if those people refusing to listen to you are your staff officers.

The Stressful part comes from the fact that as CO, everyone expects a lot out of you, and are quick to blame you for ANY failures, be it your fault or not. When shit happens that is beyond your control and people decide that you are a shit commander because of it, it sucks. And trust me, a LOT of shit will happen that is beyond your control, from SOs going SSD to blackouts, assassinations to rouge squads, and all kinds of shit in between... Being a CO can be hell on the nerves sometimes...

Frustrating: spending 15 minutes getting geared up only to take a buckshot to the head 5 minutes into the drop.

Stressful: Watching a queen run at you.

Not flipping up that plasteel barricade when the queen tryna run in there and screech, or a praetorian coming up to straight yeet on the medics and wounded marines.

Or when you are ahead of the squad or alone and you run around a corner to see a warrior.

Frustrating: Getting up from a nest and having the Neurotoxin spit finally MISS you only to get the *click* sound from your shotgun because you forgot to cock it.

Stressful: Being in the linear path of the Queen after she starts slowing down from the charge... and knowing the screech is to follow.

Frustrating: When a Warrior starts waltzing backwards with you in his arms as a meat shield. It combines all the worst parts of stunlock with all the worst parts of FF.

Stressful: When only half of your squad starts falling back from the Xeno onslaught per command's orders and your torn between helping the ungas fall back and escaping to safefy.
