Okay so look, I know that the whole "Warriors OP please nerf" is beating a dead horse at this point. I get that the devs are doing what they can to balance things. But the warriors grab (especially in combination with the barricade glitch) is game breaking. I was content to just not say anything and wait for this all to blow over until today. Today something insane happened. I was the alpha spec and I was wearing B18 armor, a warrior walked up and grabbed me, there was nothing I could do because the warrior grab prevents you from fighting back. However I was not being a lone wolf, my squad was with me, and they could not do shit cause the warrior was using me as a shield. So the warrior dragged me into a side room (the squad chasing them). At this point I resisted and got out, only to be immediately grabbed again. The warrior dragged me away and with the help of a sentinel was able to rip off my legs, they then dragged me to the hive and infected me.
Like I said before I know this is beating a dead horse, but I am not willing to be silent any more. The warrior grab needs to be fixed. I have been playing since the xenos needed royal jelly to evolve, I have seen plenty of things change, but in all that time I have never felt as strongly about something as I do about this grab. In any case I have some ideas to make the warriors grab more fair.
- Knockdown, make it so that until a marine is ready to resist and escape the grab they are laying down, this way the warrior could not use them as a human shield and squadmates could do something to help
- Use a knife, make it so that a grabbed marine can stab the warrior while grabbed, this way low health warriors cannot just grab a marine to use as a shield to compensate for overextending. Also make the marine take burn damage from the acid blood to balance this out.
- Do something ANYTHING that makes a warrior unable to just grab somebody the moment that they get free of the grab

Just remove the fucking grab tbh. It's not exactly like warriors need it anyway, fuck even if they had NO abilities they would be good just with their stats alone.

As you said, just make it so that the grabbed marine is laying down until they can resist out of the grab.
the warrior meta is using meatshields. Take that away and they'll be as balanced as any other caste.

I say remove lunge so they are more vulnerable to being shotgunned when the try to run up and grab you. Having the marine get forced to lay down is a pretty good idea too.

Xenos just have way, WAY too many ways to cheese the Marines. At least level the playing field!
Meztli 'Penumbra' Tlachi - reasonable, outgoing CMP WARRANT REVOKED; INVESTIGATION PENDING
Tonati 'Lumen' Tlachi - focused, sarcastic Doctor/Researcher
Bailey 'Androgyne' James - exactly what you'd expect
Dominick 'Umpire' Feldspar - creepy, slow-paced Officer
Dana 'Croc' Swartwout - dawdling, unsympathetic Squad Marine/Specialist
Damon 'Hellboy' Banner - satanic, pyromaniacal Squad Marine/Specialist
Amelia 'Green' Goodwin - senile, polite Corporate Liaison/Medical Researcher
