That's what I understand in their balance and it makes 'sense' in my opinion.
Predators are meant to be the strongest, therefor an alien alone or a marine alone will get his ass kicked in front fight.
An alien is meant to be stronger than a marine, therefor a marine alone will get his ass kicked in a front fight.
Marines are meant to be the weakest, therefor they need to use each other to prevail, meaning numerical advantage, tactic, traps, baits and support through using comms.

The same logic applies to aliens regarding predators but we all know aliens are too dumb to act that way, (Come on, how often did you see two crushers waiting on prison, north east of chapel hallway, waiting for marines to swarm in to just murder the whole squad? Once? Twice? Don't tell me it requires much big brain to do it.)

But yeah, in other words as a single individual predators are the strongest from -very- far. (Even for a Queen)
so if xenos manage to impregnate a predator and give birth to a predalien its gg round for marines amirite?

Not -exactly-. Depends on who's controlling the abomination, how cocky they get etc. Someone like SailorDave or Symb can be pretty damn devastating but if the pred player doesn't want to play the Abomination you can end up with a brand new player controlling it and guess how that ends

The tanks LTB can straight up gib an abomination, or could, not sure how the explosions update is gonna affect it.

Abominations don't heal like other xenos and have to kill things or use their special ability to delimb corpses to recover health, both of which takes a long time to recover to full.

As for rarity? First it has to be a pred round which are RNG, sometimes we can go days without a single pred round. Secondly a xeno has to RNG it's mask off with some means of hugging it pretty damn quickly. Thirdly the xenos then have to expend resources keeping it contained as it does everything it can to escape whilst also dealing with Marines who won't be slowing down. Fourthly they have to fend off any other preds in the round who can and will just plasmacaster their way into the hive to detonate the pred.

If you get through all that as a xeno it may not be worth the cost unless the hive managed to kill most the preds before hand or they have the upper hand against the marines/they are turtling.

Predaliens occur non-specially about 5-6 times a year

The last one I remember that naturally occurred got insta gibbed by the tank. That was so funny yet so disappointing at the same time.

I don't see the problem with the Predator being OP, its whitelisted for a reason to make sure people don't take advantage of it. Only thing I see RARELY is if predators not fully living up to their own honor code and playing a bit more like their marine character.

Claymores are an insta-fracture, slowing them down. Not sure about the stun but they will be blinded, allowing you to PB buckshot their head.

If you do that, which is pretty easy to do once you successfully baited, you'll just have to finish off a limping predator close to paincrit, use a flamethrower on the limping pred, (shouldn't be too hard if you can use your left click with your mouse), he's dead.

So no, predator are double edged, they can deal lot of damage, but can be fucked pretty easily aswell. Pretty sure a mature ravager can deal severe damage aswell and don't tell me it's hard to melee with aliens amount of speed.
On another hand if they go full no honour, which happens sometimes, it's the same strength ratio a marine has alone against a T3. Pretty harsh but from far doable.

Remember, behind preds/aliens/marines are players and each of those caste have different weaponery that can be fucking powerful in certain situations, it's your job to bring your opponent into those. I mean, no one ever moved/hacked airlocks to trap a pred. It's not that hard, jeez, most of us aren't CM natives.
I'm sorry to tell you brother, I watched them the other day, and it didn't even bring him to yellow. Didn't break a bone either.

I remember that one marine used my RSC's to beat predator up. Satchel filled with 5 makeshift grenades from 120u of potassium and water activated with signaler. There is no predator that would even think that marine throwing a satchel is a death threat. I don't know how this worked out since I didn't do it myself.
Mines are too obvious anyway.

Next predator round just go to any researcher and ask for it, then wait 10 minutes. If I'm a researcher, just ask and get it.

Yeah check the post just before yours, dummy. They buffed predator health and probably because of Mark fucking them up.
Didn't know that.

They were just talking about how Predators were buffed due to your clear and utter lack of restraint involving claymore landmines.

That said, you should continue that habit because everyone should learn to fear the area of denial explosive devices, Man and Alien alike.

I always chased every preds that dared triggering my babies, or worse for some of them : sniping my babies from a far with a plasma rifle (happened 3 times already). Though, I never actually set a minefield to hunt preds, I prefer killing xenos, killing a pred is always an enjoyable bonus, because you basically kill a guy that can decide to be OP.

Preds are not that OP, inherently. They are fast, yep. They are fucking tanky ? Yeah. But if they limit themselves to CQC, and you with a shotgun, you can fuck them. But when they decide to use all their weaponry, when you decide to stick with yours, you're fucked.

Which is why preds are cancerous. They can decide when to get OP, and you can't do shit about it. They can kidnapp one of your boys in front of you, and if you're not a dipshit that doesn't know how to RP and you want to react, you'll probably doom your squaddies/mates. If you let it happen, you're a shitty RPer (as a marine). If you try to react, you fuck your round and very potentially the round of every marine around you because of fighting a pred marine-like, with pewpew.

Yeah, Gotta knock a preds mask off, hit him with a hugger, than keep him down for like 20 minutes.

Boom you have the strongest xeno.

Imagine a bulky spread sprite with stretched arms, runner speed, young rav damage, ancient prae hp.

The sprite itself is okish.

Personal Anecdote: On Prison Station, a Pred was scouting the FOB at LZ1 late in the game after the CO ordered a Kill on Sight. Manning the barricades, me and another marine spotted him camo'd by the southern walkway door and opened hellfire. He seemed to hesitate for a moment and ate a LOT of bullets that put some serious pain on him, enough for me to chase him down as he escaped towards Engineering. After putting the rest of my magazine into him he collapsed in pain crit and I spent a solid 30 seconds bayonetting his head and emptied an ENTIRE magazine into his unconcious head. Satisfied, I dragged him back to the FOB where, after a couple minutes stripping his stuff and putting on his face mask to brag about my kill, he woke up from pain crit like a god damn zombie, grabbed his bracer, and self-destructed, destroying the entire FOB right before the front-line squads needed to fall back. Pride cometh before the fall.

I wasn't even mad. I was impressed. To say I beat his body mercilessly would be an understatement and he was still able to suicide. Predators are insane.

Well, I think they should be like they are in movies, OP as hell, but with a dose of control of that OPness

The big problem with predators is that they're so damn fast and thus get to dictate which fights they take part of, and every time I've seen more than 1 xeno try to gang on a Pred, they've just whipped out their plasma caster and kept being about as obnoxious as an ancient runner with the healthpool of an ancient crusher around the melee-xenos.
