EXPERIMENT???

I got on today and began the game as a colonist, I escaped and was sent to the R&D to help out with electronic issues, where I was taken to the research cell area with a XENOMORPH DRONE inside. I was so confused and the guy walked off and left me to fixing the problem alone, which seemed to be a broken door on one of the empty cells. However it wasn't actually broken. I waited for a couple of minutes for the researcher to let me back out but began to question: How the hell did these guys even get an xenomorph drone in that cell? I'm pretty new to CM and SS13 in general so I'm not up to date on some things, but I've never heard of ways to incapacitate and imprison aliens - and it seems like a really fun roleplay concept that I would like to try out for myself one day, so how exactly did this guy somehow get captured and not shot and end up in a research cell?

the queen lays eggs. These eggs can be picked up by humans and planted inside the cells in R&D. You can only pick up un-planted eggs.

If you try to touch a planted egg, you get facehugged.

Yeah its a pretty cool concept for RP and shit that was the round where Ellie found killed a young drone and the drone had a unplanted egg near him so we planted a egg in a research cell. It could've been possibly friendly because we were slowly beginning to understand it and the queens kept dying so they had no hivemind so basically the drone was just confused. But it all ended because usually it delays the round due to it being the last drone. I was sad when the drone died

Haha. It reminds me of the AVP game that came out on xbox in 2007 or something, where you got to play as an xenomorph who escaped a facility and began freeing other xenomorphs. pretty cool idea, seriously though. I would love it if there was a gamemode where you were in a research facility and you were either researchers/security OR xenomorphs, and once the breakout occurs, colonial marines are called after 20 minutes.

Pretty much sometimes marines get lucky and find a u planted egg and bring it back to the ship.

You infect a monkey in research and if you have a synth on board it leads to some fun RP if the xeno goes along with it.

Only problem is once the round comes to an end of it’s the last xeno it has to die in order for the round to close.
