I've been wanting one of these for literally like a year. Fuck yeah! CLF with no Xenos is such a badass game mode it feels like you're at war.

I joined in to catch the aftermath. as I was gearing up I head gunfire, then squad leader tells us theres a death squad on the ship.

Go out of prep to investigate, find a dead Marine, my medic impulses kick in (Even though I was a standard) so I go to check the body to see if hes dead or just critical.

Then i am promptly gunned down by commandos. Well that was anti-climatic...

It was great until admemes started to spawn in way too many PMC's

A few would have been okay but they ended up spawning more PMC's than CLF without that it would have been a CLF major

How did we all like the start? Did the CLF seem too weak? Too strong? Anything you would like to change about it? Any and all comments and criticisms are welcome.

Personally as CLF that survived until the PMC waves rolled into our base: I thought it was pretty well balanced. Just marines fucked it up by unga charging and having no organization, let lot of people die unsupported at engi and that area. They played right into the strentgh of CLF, running around with their lights on, often very scattered and never really supported each other

It was pretty fun. I was a CT who was helping the Almayer defense. It was pretty hectic. It boiled down to grenade spam, but we managed to outlast them and push through. I really liked the intense single hallway brawl in between the ships.
Usually playing as Darwin 'D.J.' Jefferson, PFC (Private: Flare Carrier), or Smartgunner almost always out of ammo. Occasionally an RO who yearns for death, dealing with rampant jackassery of his coworkers.
Against my better judgement I decided to start making Youtube videos involving Colonial Marines. Channel

It seemed good to me, it's just that Marines aren't experienced with fighting enemies with explosives and automatic weapons. And as everyone says, the PMCs were ... A bit much by the end of the game, honestly. Like, there was more of them than Marines.

And the Deathsquad at the end just ruined all sense of achievement for our victory (although I still felt like a badass because I survived on the planet even after the debris fell and killed some people) - Like why the fuck would USCM HQ betray us over some CLF war? The "LOL U R BETRAY" meme happens like way too often for seemingly no reason. What does it add to the game? A well executed betrayal is fun, but this just felt like hack writing/storytelling. There was objectively no valid reason for the betrayal ... It's not like we saw xenos or top secret shit. And we ended up surviving in a form that could have allowed us to phone home and blab to journalists anyways.

IEDs at dropzones should probably be considered meta ... But if you're going to do that, you need to spam that warning to the whole game rather than just accuse people of "knowing better" and banning them out of the blue. The fact is a lot of people (including myself) are idiots, and a lot of "things you should have known better about" aren't written down.

So yeah, what I'm saying is, be more harsh - But be reasonable in understanding some people might not know better too, and make sure people can see it as a rule.

If you are refering to the explosions near the marshalls office/security entrance. That was me with a laser designator calling in a barrage of HE mortar, I couldnt really observe the full effect scince I was very far back in marshalls office itself and had to start running but I think it gibbed like 1 alpha, not sure.

i assume the clf overwhelming marines was unexpected, since you blocked the flanks off research (which is still something i heavily dislike)

it wasnt the CLF that were strong, they just had a strong foothold on the planet from the start and there were like 5 robust guys that really helped carry CLF i think. this trend of "CLF get stomped (didnt happen this time though), then escalate with umbilical boarders and deathsquad)" should stop though, its been done twice and is getting stale. the fight in umbilical was pretty lame, just a grenade fest and volleys of bullets randomly hitting you and instantly paincritting, maybe make the ship closer next time?

also the deathsquad at the end was lame, there werent nearly enough marines left to fight and we blew up with no resistence.

id like it if you guys tried something new, big red lambda/research HvH is feeling less like an "event" and more like "this is always what happens in HvH"

overall it was a fun event though, as CLF i had a lot of fun until i died of my own mistakes.
I like hand labelers.

had a pretty fun time in the event, i rolled grenade Spec and got fucked up by the combination of CLF MG nests, flamers, and mortar in Eta lab.

then i came back as PMC Brandson, found my old b18 helmet on a CLF and later got medivac'd for IB.
Once the Clf boarded i was at the second wave kicking ass, managed to snatch the Mateba++ from the CLF commander and gave it to the CO.
then we took the first DS down with the CL once the Death squad showed up and that was the round for me.

all in all, pretty fun but the marines got their asses kicked so hard that the admins had to spawn in so many PMCs that the CLF were crushed.

I enjoyed the event a little i guess though i died twice to FF, the umbilical was an absolutely terrible idea which was not enjoyable at all, I was CLF at the start and i think they were given just a few too many USCM weapons, that should've been toned down a little.The HPR's that were given were kinda unnecessary and the amount of grenades we got was Whew, A LOT, I threw at least 12 grenades of various types that round. Overall it was alright

I was the Planetside CLF Commander but my text wasn't all that big and my ID just read "Mercenary"

But all the guys that did listen were great, We managed to push the marines ALL THE WAY BACK. Literally handing out nades like it was Halloween, We also got a lot of HPR's and a lot of fucking nades.

But than PMC's came and uh....safe to say we got krumped. I seriously enjoyed the multiple war front thing. There was a Ship CLF Commander that docked and boarded the Almayer, and I was also apart of that but only as just a regular CLF guy. I managed to molotov the first defences but the Almayer crew managed to krump us as well.

So we got Deathsqud. I sadly didn't get in on that, but I watched them clear the ship and attempt to activate SD until a heroic Synthetic by the name of Caitlyn armed with only flashbangs, a flash and a stunbaton beat the fucking BEANS out of DS. I'm pretty sure she disabled about half of the Deathsquad just by herself. They finally activated SD and the round ended in a bang.

All in all it was honestly a good event by Grimcad, My only Criticism is that maybe the CLF had just a tiny bit too many nades, and there were a bit too many PMC's.

For the record, this was actually Imperator_Titan's event. I only assisted. Though I did set up most of the CLF ground force before I had to go.
