In my experience handing the marines extra (even buffed) sentries doesn't significantly affect the round -- most engineers will waste them by not concentrating them, or they'll get knocked over by something and stay glitched when put upright.
But yeah the potential is there.

Unless you stack multiple sentries to successfully 1burst crit a xeno, it's useless since it takes too long to acquire target and shoot from close unless you get on 30°
